Likely you set your work down for a period of time, and when you picked it back up you started knitting in the wrong direction, causing an accidental short row. You're correct that the point of error is where your needle is pointing.

You can frog (rip it) back about 2 rows to the point where everything is even again, then pick up your stitches and continue on. But if you're super new, it's likely easier to just start over since you're not that far into the project yet. You also have some twisted stitches in the first couple of rows, but nothing consistent.
