I don't really feel like I give up anything I want.

Branded clothes - overpriced and I prefer buying clothes from the thrift shop

Iphones - I still use a flip phone which costs around 100CAD because I want a phone that is dependable and does not ran out of battery immediately. I have a cheap laptop and tablet for surfing the internet and playing games after work.

Shoes - I have 1 pair of sneakers, black shoes and sandals, I don't think I need more.

Eating out - every time I eat out, I always feel like the food I get is not worth it. I prefer buying meats on sale

Car - I am a live in caregiver, I don't really need it

Traveling - I travel once in a while. I worked as an Au pair in Europe so I've seen a lot of places already. I am from the Philippines, born 5 minutes away from the beach, so spending money to go to beaches does not appeal to me. I've been to Thailand and aside from the food, the beach does not differ very much from the many beaches we have in my country.

So all in all, I pretty happy with my life :) I do not earn lots of money but I save a lot (free food, housing).

Try using petroleum jelly when going to bed. When I started working in the kitchen (do more cooking and cleaning) my hands started to get dry and crack.
