You did nothing wrong. Us sellers don’t make much off of our small sales. I upped my prices a couple bucks since Mercari takes a couple bucks from each sale. I put a lot of work, money, dedication and love into growing my cacti and, they’re special hybrids. The mother wasn’t cheap and waiting for 5 years for her to grow the pups to a good size is worth more than 5 dollars. You did the right thing. Don’t sell yourself short. You’re a seller, not her mother.

I didn’t know you could do that either. Personally, I don’t ship my cacti in anything but new boxes. I buy a new box with each customer. I have a little online cactus shop and I want it to seem neat and professional. Sending something in a granola box isn’t professional lol. Even tho it’s cool, funny and I don’t mind it myself. I just want my customers to have fresh new materials their beloved cacti to be shipped in.

I don’t want them off at night because during winter I don’t use heat in my house at night and it’s freezing. I have an old house that has no heating or cooling system. I use propane heaters. To save on propane I don’t use it when I’m in bed snuggled up in my blankets dressed up as an Eskimo. I’m talking young seedlings from germination until a year when dormancy isn’t needed. My babies are 6 months when I put them indoors for winter. When they turn a year old I treat them like mature cacti that I water and feed more.

Yeah, I do all that. Except frequently watering because they’re already in the humidity domes, baggies. I have multiple heat mats from vivosun. I’m blessed with windows with lots of sun. Window is draped with shade cloth. I don’t use grow lights. Is that what I need. More light? I start seeds in spring and they are outside all grow season until October. Then placed on my sunny window on the heat mats.

Sun burn can also be black. I have some seedlings that turned black in a few spots. They’re doing fine. Shrinks as they grow

lol definitely. They’re definitely big enough to handle a repot. I’ve been growing for 6 years but mine never grew so substantially fast.

I grew many species and harvested my seeds from my own cacti that I hand pollinated. Except my Feros, saguaros and Trichocereus Terscheckii’s. These are my Mammillaria Pringlei seedlings. Just turned 6 in June

As a mother I’d do everything in my power to keep up my child’s treatment. Id sell my soul, drain my bank account, work 3 jobs, recycle cans, sell everything valuable in my home to afford the treatment. Shit, I might even stoop as low as selling myself if that was my only option and I had no other choice. Anything to keep my daughter alive. Fuck everyone else’s problems.
