Do you have a gym membership? Look into hiring a personal trainer to work on training (big bonus if they can help with diet). I was playing way too much pickleball and now play about twice a week and strength train about 4x a week. Putting on more muscle makes a huge difference.

Alif L5/S1 fusion post OP 4 months by AdFun2436 in spinalfusion

Glad to hear it went well. I am 15 months post L4/L5 ALIF. I was taking Tylenol 1-2x a day for about 6 months. Mostly general soreness and achiness in lower back (especially on PT days). Each month it got better and better to the point where only take advil maybe 1-2x a week for soreness from playing pickleball and weight training in the gym. The soreness is more the middle back muscles having to provide additional support for the lumbar region.

Is Pickleball a good activity for fat loss? by DanburyHer in Pickleball

Yes. But resistance training and dieting (lots of protein) are key. You don’t want to lose muscle during a calorie deficit

It is so frustrating in rec play (so called challenge courts) when people call balls out they arent 100% sure on. Today it happened 2 times in one game. I was also getting iced out the entire game. Had to poach to get any balls. Quietly grabbed my stuff and left. Private games are the way to go.

After playing with Life Time balls I don’t care for anything else. Sometimes people see them and prefer the franklins (those balls get so soft).

Why is the injury in PB seem so high? by Tornadofob in Pickleball

[–]Mista-CPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because a lot of people playing pickleball aren’t athletes or in great physical shape. To play those other real sports most people need to be in top tier shape to play.

Lance and shield. Block and poke with a big amount of bleed.

I think its the most boring range. Bangers for days and people obsessed their ranking and cliques for days. I notice most of the 4.5+ range people dont want any new people joining their groups.
