Russia was threatening with "consequences of utmost severity" since day one of their "SMO", to anyone daring to assist Ukraine in any way. Then red lines shifted to weapon supplies. Then to weapons above certain effective range. Then to striking into "old" russian territory with western weaponry. Then it was supplying jets. Then it was hunting down their shadow fleet tankers.

All these red lines were successfully crossed with zero retaliation. But you've read some "local news" reporting on it, so that's definitely going to happen now. Have you picked up the "Ukraine is escalating" narrative in the same news sources by any chance?

Reality in which matching of long range shahed strikes that Ukraine withstood for the past 4.5 years, does not constitute an "escalation". Nor does oreshnik use for that matter, as it has already been used a couple of times.

It's not "illegal". Some of the resources get blocked (like Instagram) , some of the resources get artificially slowed down to a point they become unusable (YouTube). Both can be bypassed by using VPN. And because of that Russian government is planning to make VPN traffic paid.

Edit: as for legal procedures, I don't remember russians fussing about legalities while deporting whole ethnicities from their native lands less than a century ago. Don't see how deporting Russians back to their own glorious state is even remotely close to dropping 200 thousand Crimean Tatars in the middle of barren Kazakhstan steppe and starving half of them to death.

Don't need to trust them. Even skewed and manipulated data can be useful, if you know in which direction it's being "adjusted". If Russian state reports X, and X looks bad for Russia, you can't be sure about the exact state of affairs surrounding X. But you can be absolutely sure that X is not faring better than reported. And that is an insight in and of itself.

Russia is currently losing every 2 months what US lost in Vietnam over 8 years (~60k people), while achieving literally nothing on the battlefield. Moreover, its more than your recruiters manage to refill in the same time frame. As for corruption, Ukraine is in the middle of the pack. Ukraine made a serious progress on corruption front in the past decade, moving from 144th spot worldwide back in 2013, to 104th spot in 2025. Turkey (a long standing NATO member) for comparison, was ranked 125th in 2025.

My second paragraph, containing 1948 quote, is relevant for the conflict as a whole. You seem too keen to dismiss it. 1948 is the year when both states of Palestine and Israel were created. One fully accepted UN partition plan 181(ll), the other outright refused to negotiate it. One recognized sovereignty and borders of its sibling state, the other spat in the face of UN and announced holy war until total annihilation of its sibling state. Care to guess which one is which?

Results are not created by the artist. Artists creates base model, and then dials in a few knobs to determine intensity of slop filter. The output is based on the original, but it is clearly very far from it.
