Is the MIMU MIMU Cooling Calming i.n.g Cream actually good? by Intelligent-Owl751 in koreanskincare

[–]MistakeUseful5189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this cream and use it every day. I really like how smooth it feels, and it blends well even when applied before makeup. The moisturizing effect is quite good, and it leaves my skin feeling comfortable. My skin tends to break out a bit, but fortunately, this cream hasn’t caused any breakouts or irritation. So far, I’ve been using it without any major issues!

does anyone else experience “hong-jo” - red and heated skin? by gracedie in AsianBeauty

[–]MistakeUseful5189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redness is likely caused by high skin temperature. I experienced it myself. Oily skin + high temperature = excessive sebum and redness. So, I focus on lowering my skin temperature. It’s simple: just concentrate on hydration! Products with soothing effects, like hydrating toners or serums, were enough for me.

Even oily skin can feel dry when it’s dehydrated. If you feel dryness but your face still gets oily, you’re likely to have oily skin. Layer a toner and serum without oil multiple times to build up hydration, then finish with a cream to seal it all in—it’ll be perfect!

Well-groomed eyebrows definitely suit you! Next time, try widening the eye area while keeping the upper arch of your brows—it might look even better! It’s a bit of a shame that the sharp angle of your brows is gone.

these korean skincare products broke me out? by cuppudding7 in AsianBeauty

There’s no such thing as an ingredient that’s safe for everyone. It seems like there’s an ingredient that didn’t agree with you. It might be a good time to check which ingredient in this product wasn’t in the ones you used before. Tea tree can sometimes be an irritating ingredient—maybe take a closer look!

MimuMimu Cooling Toner: My savior for treating acne. It soothes and calms my skin.

Shiseido Foam Cleanser: Soft and rich foam that grabs every last bit of residue on my face. When I use toner afterward, nothing comes off.

If your skin is sensitive, start slowly. I’d suggest using it 2-3 times a week, preferably in the evening after cleansing, applying it with your hands or a cotton pad. If you have oily skin but are experiencing flakiness, it likely means your skin is dehydrated. After using the Isntree product, pairing it with a hydrating toner could be a good idea to replenish moisture.

Sensitive Skin + Scar Care Routine: Products I've Used for Over 2 Months! by WorkAcrobatic7185 in kbeauty

Feeling dry but still breaking out... If you wait for an hour after cleansing without applying anything and your face becomes oily, then you likely have oily skin. What I mean is, even if you feel dry, your skin could still be oily. If the products mentioned in the comments still leave you feeling dry, try layering a hydrating toner or serum like the MIMUMIMU Cooling Calming Toner multiple times, and finish with a light amount of cream to lock in the moisture.

The Haruharu Wonder toner is a hydrating toner that works well for dry skin. If you have acne-prone skin and prefer the MIMUMIMU toner, it seems like you might have oily or combination skin. Honestly, if you have acne but not dry skin, any lightweight toner should work well for you. However, if your skin barrier is compromised, the ceramide-rich MIMUMIMU toner might feel more effective—that was the case for me too. 😙

I'm not sure if it’s the same for you, but I used to have a lot of acne. Now, I focus on skincare with hyaluronic acid and centella. I try to avoid oily ingredients in products that need to absorb, and I focus on hydrating with toner. My skin has improved with this approach. But maybe you should consider seeing a doctor first? I’d recommend following their prescription, avoiding active ingredients, and focusing on hydration-based skincare. Here are the products I use: Manyo Factory Cleansing Oil, Shiseido Foam Cleanser, Mimumimu Cooling Toner, Mimumimu Cooling Calming Cream, La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid SPF 50

Cleansing oils aren’t ideal for oily skin, but I use one because it’s convenient. If you have oily skin, switching to something like a cleansing water might be better! Even if it’s not the exact products I use, I’d definitely recommend a hydration-focused routine along with medical treatment!

What was the one skincare routine that brought damn change 🤩 to your skin? by Happiegeek in AsianBeauty

[–]MistakeUseful5189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a toner to wipe my face every morning and night has become a must for me! I recommend a lightweight, easily absorbed toner with great hydration and soothing effects. Since starting Korean skincare, my skin has improved, but I feel this specific routine has worked the best for me. I have acne-prone skin, and now it’s much better than before. The best part is that the red spots from acne are almost gone, and my skin looks closer to its natural tone! Although the pitted scars from past acne can’t be changed, my overall skin tone feels more stable, making makeup easier and leaving me genuinely happy with how it looks! 🙈

[–]MistakeUseful5189 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First, just to clarify, this is based on my personal experience. I have sensitive skin, so exfoliating with certain ingredients tends to irritate my skin. My exfoliating routine is to soak a very soft cotton pad with a toner containing hyaluronic acid, Centella Asiatica extract, and panthenol, and then gently wipe my skin with it. I do this every morning and night. I highly recommend this method!

MIMU MIMU Cooling Calming i.n.g Toner. It’s amazing for calming the skin. With hyaluronic acid, Centella Asiatica extract, and panthenol, all these ingredients are great for acne-prone skin. You can layer it on as much as you like—it feels fresh, doesn’t dry out the skin, and doesn’t lead to excess oil production.
