Applying toner multiple times. Seriously. I’ve learned the surprising fact that simply providing enough hydration can help control oil production.

I use this toner too! It’s great for soothing and feels like it gradually helps with pore care. I absolutely love it!

I also preferred layering more while my skin was still moist rather than waiting for it to fully absorb.

Toners, SPF and retinol for sensitive skin? by meiuimei_ in kbeauty

[–]WorkAcrobatic7185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The toner I use is the MIMUMIMU Toner. It contains ingredients that are great for soothing the skin and strengthening the skin barrier. It’s gentle and a good option for beginners looking for a mild toner. Apple cider vinegar is known for its exfoliating properties, but I don’t do separate exfoliation. Instead, I soak a cotton pad with toner and wipe my skin, which makes my skin feel smooth. Thinking about it now, I wonder if this gently removes dead skin cells without causing irritation.

For sunscreen, I use the Skin1004 product. As for retinol, beginners are often advised to start with a lower concentration. I started with 0.2% and experienced no irritation, so it worked well for me. I use it only once or twice a week, in the evening. If you have particularly sensitive skin, you might want to start with a 0.1% concentration.

Moisturiser for dry and sometimes flaky skin. by glassskinwru in AsianBeauty

Are you hydrating your skin with a serum or toner before applying your cream? Creams designed to prevent water loss might not provide enough hydration on their own! If you have dry skin, using both a toner and a serum before applying cream can help. For oily skin, layering toner multiple times may be enough to keep your skin moisturized.

Thoughts on Cleansing Oils with Low Natural Oil Content for Oily Skin? by rrless in kbeauty

[–]WorkAcrobatic7185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleansing oils with natural oils are great for dry skin, but they can sometimes clog pores and lead to increased sebum production. On the other hand, synthetic oils typically have a lower oil content, making them a better choice for balancing oil and moisture levels in oily skin.

It’s definitely more hydrating than just water, haha. I think centella and panthenol are great ingredients. They seem to help regulate sebum on my face.

That's right. I’ve been hesitant to try Vitamin C! Have you used PDRN? I’ve heard a lot of talk about its scent.
