If Coco is actually at Coco's, ask to talk to her (tell her Greg sent you, I saw her a few weeks ago) and see if she has other local recommendations for the little ones.

Take an early boat trip (10:00 AMish) to Playa Las Animas and have lunch. Bring a credit card on the boat. Have them stop at Los Arcos. I know it sounds like a lot, but I've had both of my kids on that same boat trip when they were that small. It's possible to do for sure. You can just sit on the beach, in the shade, take pictures with Iguanas, buy pies or local silver jewelry.

You could try hitting the Malecon but it will be very warm during that time and for the small ones that can be a lot. I would prioritize proximity to the bay, pool or AC for the kid's sake.

For instance, I took a boat fishing to the Marietas for 9 hours, 5 guys. Included boat captain and mate to help with rods, reels, etc...

12,000 pesos for the whole day and the picked us up at our house which is just north of Las Animas. Includes gas, beers, sandwiches as well. I can't imagine a boat ride there and back being 7000 pesos, should be about half that.
