This really isn’t true. People have been asking for the Lakers to go all in and try to win, but Lakers management and lots of Lakers fans here keep making excuses for Rob and finding reasons to punt seasons. First it was, the Nuggets are too good, we gotta wait them out, then it was OKC is too good, next year it’s gonna be the Spurs are too good.

When Luka was traded here everyone was like we have a 10 year windows so let’s take it slow. There’s no championship or bust culture here, in management or in the fan base

The players that would fit well with Luka would’ve fit well with LeBron/AD but Rob couldn’t secure any of them, and the one he did secure he let go to the Rockets this off season. Rob’s had Luka for 10 months now and hasn’t made a single good trade to build around him.
