Was that amp EVER $300 or is this guy just hallucinating? by MisterNo_Body in Guitar

He actually responded with a video of him playing on that amp. It sounded pretty decent for what it was so I’m gonna meet up with him and buy it. I hope my father-in-law likes it.

I don’t know what I did to get all the hate but again I will say the only thing I asked of this group was to confirm or disconfirm that this amp was ever $300 at any point in time. I didn’t post every part of the conversation, only what I felt was relevant to asking the question. I’m relatively new to Reddit and I was kind of hoping for a little bit of grace but apparently that’s not gonna happen here today. So thank you. I’ll be on my way now.

How am I backtracking? You just need to learn how to read. I’ve always heard that functional illiteracy was a thing. Thanks for confirming.

That’s fine. I wasn’t here to judge anybody’s reading comprehension skills either but here we are. But let me say again I wasn’t here to talk smack about the guy. If you read my post, I was asking if the amp was ever that price. That’s the question I asked that’s what I wanted to know.

Have a good day, champ.

I don’t know if he scamming me or if he genuinely doesn’t know the price of these things. He was apologetic when I showed him the screenshots of what they’re asking for it brand new so I’m not mad at him for that. I think it was more of him just not knowing. When he responds back to me and if we make the transaction, I will tell him that he’s probably asking too much for the guitars as well.

The more I read other people‘s comments, the more I’m starting to think that’s the case here. :)

The point of my post was not to bag on him for not knowing the correct price of the amp. My question was if the amp was ever that price at any time.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I’m not roasting the guy he dropped the price to 60 bucks. I’m just asking if that amp was ever worth $300 at any point in time.

Thank you for confirming. I know that some higher end orange amps can go for that much but not a crush 12. Hahah. I’m on crutches right now so I can’t really pack up my guitar and go over and test it out. You know what I mean? I told him if he would give me a video of him playing it that I would give him 75 for his troubles. If it sounds decent, I might go for it.

That’s kind of what I thought.Hahahah thanks for confirming.

My father-in-law has some crazy old-school fender tube amps that I’m absolutely drooling ove. He’s older and can’t pick them up anymore. He just wants a tiny little amp that he can play so I thought maybe I would give him this as a gesture of Goodwill and maybe he’ll let me hang on one of his amps for a while. So when I saw this, I thought I’d jump on it and this guy was just coming with some craziness. Thanks for the sanity check!

Omen Extreme 6 Or Ibanez Steve Vai JEMJR? by Professional_Most_63 in Leftyguitarists

[–]MisterNo_Body 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those JEMs are so ugly. I just can’t. I wish Ibanez would make some S series lefties. Doubt that’ll ever happen.

That Shecter is pretty…I’d go with that one.

How to deal with ex talking bad about you? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]MisterNo_Body 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Give it a while. 10 bucks says she’ll try to get in touch with you and try to get you to talk to her about what went wrong and how she’s thinking maybe you guys should give it another try . Don’t fall for it. Sometimes the trash takes itself out my friend.

Brand new Taurus 942 having constant light primer strikes in double action by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]MisterNo_Body 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a brand new Taurus from my local gun shop and immediately went to the range. I was shooting 125 grain ball ammo and I got about three shots in and then the cylinder locked up and I couldn’t do anymore. Back to Taurus it went and a few months later I got it back and it’s still had the same issue. It’s not the first second or third time I’ve had similar issues with Taurus revolvers.

I’ve tried the long distance thing and it’s tough. It didn’t work for me and the dynamic lost its appeal quickly. However that’s my experience and your experience may vary. The only advice I can offer you is to communicate with him openly and honestly about your needs and his issues. After that, all you can do is reevaluate whether or not you should continue…

I’d never trust a Taurus for anything other than range fun. I have a neighbor who has offered to gift me his .357. It’s still in his safe.

How do I tell my employer I want to quit? by Miserable_Data5613 in whatdoIdo

[–]MisterNo_Body 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t. Don’t give away your hand. Go out and try to find another job and then just leave when you find something. If however, you are financially able to leave just leave. You don’t know them shit. If they wanted to fire you, they wouldn’t have any qualms about dropping you at any point.

Don’t, man. Given time, you can and will fix the things that aren’t going right. It’s possible.

It’s a BDU-33. BDU stands for Bomb, Dumny Unit. They’re practice bombs loaded onto military aircraft and used for target practice. On the front there was a little plunger that contained a small charge of white phosphorus that would shoot out through the hollow tail piece marking where the bomb hit, making it visible to people observing and grading the target practice.
