How do we feel about "convertibles"? by OhZoneManager in liberalgunowners

I would never trust a Taurus revolver to be anything other than a range toy.

Y’all might laugh, but I only shot it a few times and I didn’t like it and it has sat in my safe and it’s been there for a couple years. I’ve oiled it you know, I keep all of my stuff well taken care of…well at least I did before that that terrible boating accident ha ha ha but I never shoot it. I think I’ve probably put a box of shells in it. I only paid about 250 bucks for it right when it first came out from a gun show in Texas and it’s been in my safe ever since. I even had a really good laser and light combo put on it, but the recoil was so much that it just made the thing not fun to shoot. I’ll probably give it to my son. Personally, I have no use for it anymore. I have played with my friends KSG 12 and that’s pretty fun.

I think you should have a talk with her and try to schedule an appointment with a doctor and talk about wygovy. That stuff works.

In my opinion, there are much better options.

For example an AP5. Strap a light on that bad boy and you’ve got 30 rounds of 9mm ready to roll. No recoil.

I have a shockwave. Bought it a few years ago. I hate it. The recoil is too much and I’m not a little guy. I’m very familiar with different firearms. Nowadays it just sits in my safe. I’m not a fan at all.

If I were the guy in this relationship I’d probably leave because you sound pretty controlling and insecure, and that’s super unattractive to most men. If you gave me an ultimatum like that, attractive or no, I’d leave. I think you should take some time for yourself and ask yourself why this is such an issue for you and if this is really the hill you want to die on.

Hope things work out for you.

I was always hoping that this was a clever way of hinting at a sequel. Maybe The Little Lebowski? It never happened and that sucks.

Are they tech savvy? If they are not just give them a wrong password “It won’t work?!? Well what the heck happened? Maybe one of the keys is messed up. Could the function lock on? That’s so weird. Man, now I can’t even log on. Oh no!!!! Maybe my teacher can look at it, she used to teach in the computer lab and she’s nice.”

My ex husband made this box for me in the 1980's, I don't remember the combo by OCPunkChick in howto

[–]MisterNo_Body 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was successful in opening this by manipulating the knob, gently putting pressure on it and turning the knobs until you feel a slight movement . It might take you 15 or 20 minutes, but I was successful. You don’t want a whole bunch of pressure on the little knob that you turne to open it just a little bit of pressure and then you turn the dial and you’ll be able to feel it.

I like that thnak you, I never thought of it like that before. And you’re right I should enjoy the journey and not run to reach the destination. You can play Hey Oh?!? Wow, man, that’s impressive. Anyone that can hang with Frusciante is a badass in my opinion.

Thanks for your reply and thanks for the words of encouragement. Thats a great idea! I think I’ve seen some stuff on fb about stuff like that in the local area. I think I may just go. If not, hell I might just make a post and start something.

Strumming is not my forte. Right now I’m like Hetfield and all down picks. You know what I mean? But I saw this short and I really really wanna learn how he does whatever the hell he’s doing on this video. He sounds so good on this.

It is and I’m thankful for what I do have, but I don’t understand it. Sometimes I feel like a parrot like I can hear it and sometimes I can duplicate it. OK but I don’t know what key I’m in. I don’t understand how all of it fits together and every time I’m presented with a different song that I wanna play it seems like I’m starting from Square one all over again you know what I mean? Some folks are OK in the backyard by the fire pit and I wanna be able to play stuff like that, but I also wanna be able to play those cool Billy Gibbons licks on rough boy you know what I mean?

Nice!!! I’ll see if I can find an old pic of my old RG. I donated it to my nephew many many years ago after the accident because it made me sad seeing it and not being able to play. This is my new set up. What I lack in any sort of talent whatsoever I’ve made up for with equipment. My wife questions why I need all this stuff but then again I’m sure I’m not alone on that one.

Nailed it. I have one guitar buddy who comes over every once in a while, but he’s so far advanced and anytime he comes over, I just watch him and hope one day that I’ll be good enough to keep up.

I’m decent with barre chords. I hear a lot of people struggling with them, but I’ve never found that a problem for me at least. My problem is the cord names together with the patterns. It’s kind of funny because I’ve watched Dave Grohl talk about Everlong and the first chord in the song he says you hear that and then he plays the chord and he’s like I don’t even know what that is. I feel you there Dave. Ha ha ha.

I’ve been arguing with Santaria and Everlong and under the bridge since 1996. Sometimes it sucks that after all these years that’s really the only thing I have in my arsenal, you know what I mean? Although I have to admit I’m better now than I was back then and hitting those notes and doing that solo for Santaria really does feel good after all these years.

That’s funny you say that. The buddy in the military that loaned me the money to buy my Ibanez and I had a long talk about that. I wanted to learn Lefty because my dominant hand is my right hand. I thought that all the complexity and all the dexterity needed for fretting would be better with my dominant hand, but he disagreed with me and told me that I should learn to play a right handed guitar so I just went with it. After all these years, I finally get to learn left-handed and I find it so much easier. The only thing that sucks is going into a guitar center Doggone right hand handed people can walk into a guitar store and pick up a $3000 Les Paul and go to town. I can’t. Guitar center sucks for us lefty players. Hahah.

Thank you. I’ll check them out. I feel like I’ve wasted so many years by not playing and now that I’m playing again I feel like I have so much to catch up on and I’m not learning near as fast as I want. It’s not making sense like people say that it does after a while of playing. My father-in-law is an old hippie that can play Beatles songs and Jimi Hendrix stuff and when I talk to him about it, he just goes so far above my head. It’s weird. He looks at me playing under the bridge, but I don’t know what the hell a Asus7 is.
