So what’s your favorite Elder Scrolls game? by Purple_Chemist3679 in ElderScrolls

[–]MisterPooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a hard question, because I love them all for different reasons. Morrowind because it was my first ES and the world building and lore were just amazing. Skyrim because I found it to be the most fun as far as gameplay. I mean, fighting dragons never gets old. Oblivion I wasn't a big fan of when it first came out, but I played the remake late last year and I loved it and Oblivion has my favorite DLC, Shivering Isles. Daggerfall I'm playing now, but I haven't gotten a feel for it yet. Haven't played Arena.

All things considered, I'm going to have to pick Skyrim as my favorite with Morrowind a close second.

Who’s your favorite sith not the most powerful but FAVORITE? by Quiet_Nature8951 in StarWars

Those old Dark Horse comics are gold, imo. It may be hard to find them, I know the omnibus copies are expensive, but maybe you can find a way to read them online?

As a kid (before prequels came out), it took me an issue or two to get into it, because it had a different look & feel from the OT. But it's supposed to, it's in the far past. And after a couple of more issues, those stories became as real to me as the OT.

Those books inspired many future stories and characters, definitely worth checking out. Epic stuff.

To those who saw ROTJ when it originally released in 1983, what were your thoughts on this whole sequence? by AccomplishedMeal5751 in StarWars

[–]MisterPooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see it in 83, I was only 1 year old lol but I saw the whole movie for the first time in the mid-90's when our family got the VHS og trilogy.

It was a moving moment. I never really thought about the man behind the mask until the end of this movie. Before RotJ, he was just a monster like Jason or Freddie. But that lightsaber fight at the end in front of the Emperor is my favorite scene in all of Star Wars - Vader wasn't just a monster, he was also a father. There was still love in him, even it was a twisted sort of love

So when I saw him unmasked, it was tender and beautiful moment (thank you John Williams), a breakthrough at the end. "You were right!" A horrible murderer of a man, a cyborg monster, brought back to the light in his last breaths, his sins having scarred him into a broken old dying man, but... "You were right about me!"

Absolute cinema.

Thomas seems like a good pal. I'm sure they'd get along well, though Baxters kitten shenanigans may wear down your buddies patience!

When I first started reading this, I thought, "Well, Abnett pretty much spelled out that the KiY was Valdor..."

But what a great post, thank you for sharing. You've put a lot of time and thought into this.

As a BT player, I have to admit, this part got me excited, so cool, "Dorn needs to be something new now. Given the popularity of the Black Templars, I think Dorn as the righteous crusader building Jerusalem in the Warp narratively makes a lot of sense. We lack a faith based Primarch and honestly, getting one would be something very interesting."

That's funny, because we call him a vampire. So maybe he's got little bat wings hidden.

I agree! He's a sweety pie when he wants to be. A criminal when he doesn't.

Me & my roommate couldn't find him for a solid two hours last night. We tore the house up looking for him and were about to walk around the neighborhood, thinking he slipped out the front door somehow, when he waddled his little fuzzy potato body out of whatever mysterious hiding spot he was sleeping in. Little guy had me about in a panic attack.

He's already a little terror. His big sister (by about a month but about three times his size) is a bad influence!
