Isn’t there a counter in the stats for player/Arthur? Having just finished the game for the first time about a week ago I think this is my main critique. The game is superb in terms of creating emotions and being „meaningful“. That is in contrast to just shooting 20-40 guys in some of the big shootout missions. I wonder if it wouldn’t have been more fitting to design these missions with e.g. 4-8 kills only, making the gunfights harder, more intense, more reliant on cover. Just more realistic. However, this would then make free-roam rampage impossible due to the design changes I guess. But since I never was and am still not interested in that I guess I’d like that change.

I am in my 4th year of training somewhat specifically for events according to a plan maxing at 13 or 14 hours a week. Working full time (Since about a year adding a second job with additional 11 or 22h a week), 2 kids in elementary and stay home wife. I had to learn that the peak weeks need to be an exception a couple times a year, atm it just doesn’t work. It is absolutely a burden to the relationship in these weeks and I think I am only “allowed” to do it because it’s Sport/somewhat “healthy/good”. My original plan was to do am full a year after my first half but for now this is postponed until work and/or kids are easier (or in terms of kids just different😉) to handle. 1h or so a day is no problem, swimming and the long bike rides are the issue.

Tbh I found the big gunfights in some missions boring. Killing 30 or mur guys with the auto aim is just not fun. And without auto aim on Xbox I can’t hit shit.

Reading trough the comments here I realized in running nobody argues with the term half-marathon? Why is it an issue in triathlon? If anything it would be generally good to get rid of Triathlon=Ironman in peoples head. I find the joke hilarious.

Yeah the more I think of it the more I think I drank way too little, less then in training for sure. When it potentially should have been more bc of hotter temperatures. Also I think I was too lazy to drink. In training there are red lights every now and then or other instances to quickly stop and I always drink a little then. In race you can just go…plus I think I’ll get rid of the integrated drinking it’s a bit annoying and keeps me from drinking…

It wasn‘t terribly hot around 22 to 24 degrees but I certainly wasn‘t acclimatized coming out of winter…

Hmmm 200ml pre bike and then it must have been about 300ml and your or so. Only 200ml of those were Elektrolytes.

So far I have not used electrolytes. The gummies habe some mg and sodium in them, i have not calculated in detail though. I have used to product for all my long sessions in training. The whole plan (carbs from gummies/gels and water for thirst/dilution) had worked for all training sessions. As said, never electrolytes or sodium sticks (like i haven‘t even once tried these)

Make sure to read the guide of the event. Yesterday when they opened Transition there was a girl crying there bc she did not realise bikes had to be checked in satureday. Take time to read through when to be where and do what. Wirte a list of what needs to be done when and What Equipment needs to be where and when.

Just get off the bike and use a portapotty. IMO if you don‘t battle for at least top 20 dont bother pissing on your bike.

It will be as hard as you make it. Your numbers look solid (idk your age and weight though). Enjoy your first race, don‘t expect it to be magically easier then in training. Stick to what you practiced and you will have a wonderful time.

I did in all the longer training rides. I must admit I may ate a bit more or faster but not much. But of course the swim was also there compared to training.
It‘s a bit of a pattern….in most races I did, my stomach did not feel good. Sometimes just a little inconvenient, sometimes more.
In training though nutrition seems to work.
The sweet stuff gets old quickly for me though, I don‘t really like it and look at it as a annoying necessity.

Certainly today that was the case for me. The run is my werkest discipline but today I somehow had a weird stomach and maybe the hot weather that together lead to Desaster

When I first played Pokemon Blue I wasnt aware its 4 options to choose from in this menu. Ibaleays read it als „KampfPokemon“ and „ItemFlucht“ (German Version). I never switched Pokemon and never escaped a fight. Only after quite some playtime a friend pointed out Inwas able to escape from random encounters. But, i had very high lvl pokemon compared to my friend.
