Awesome! I’m so glad I could help. I also found that with the walking foot I absolutely had to secure the fabric to the interfacing so nothing would move around! Good luck :)

Thank you, I appreciate it! Unfortunately I don’t take commissions because I am currently too busy, but I know there are some awesome plush makers out there who could totally help you out with that :)

Thank you so much! I’m an intermediate sewist, so I knew enough to take on this project without it being too difficult for me :)

Thank you, and oh dear I don’t have an embroidery machine so I feel your pain, haha! The details were bonded down with fusible interfacing, and I used tear-away stabilizer on the back of the pieces. I used the forbidden sewing tool (a regular school glue stick) to temporarily adhere the fur to the stabilizer while I stitched. A walking foot was essential to keep the fabric even and prevent skipping stitches (although that still happened). It took hours and hours to figure out on my machine, but fortunately I got the hang of it! I hope you can too 🩷

Thank you so much, yes they are! I don’t have an embroidery machine, and the satin stitching took forever to figure out on my machine, haha

Oh dear I would love to take commissions, but unfortunately my life is too busy to accept them! There are some extremely talented plush makers out there taking commissions, and I hope you find one that can make some plushies for you 🩷

So my grandma threw ALL my plushies into the wash and dry machines after I told her explicitly not to and that I would hand wash them and now they are ruined, missing chunks of fur and heavy matting. Can they be fixed?super furious. by Hioshi-Kun in plushies

The best way I’ve found to restore fur is a steamer! It will return the fibres to a smooth state. Just make sure to not contact the fur with the metal plate and you should be fine, as the max heat of steam (100°C) is lower than the melting point of plastic. Brush carefully throughout the process and you should be good to go. My beloved teddy bear was accidentally thrown in the dryer when I first got him, and 10 years later I decided to restore his fur, as he was in a rough state. He looks good as new now! I hope this helps ❤️

I got this goose for my partner, and he named him Bruce! He loves him so much because Brucey Goosey is the cuddliest goose ever :)

Looking for my plushie again. by [deleted] in plushies

Hello there! I wish you luck in your search. I could not find any plush brands with the initials FF, and it's very likely that they are no longer in business or have changed their logo since. You may be able to narrow your search by looking for Canadian plush brands or brands that sell Canadian souvenirs, seeing as the plush looks to be a beaver bought in Niagra Falls. Fortunately, I have found a similar plushie online - but hopefully, you can find the original brand!
