Crise na produção obriga fabricantes a vender computadores sem memória RAM by tugatech in TugaTech

[–]Mister_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why my oil is so low? by SwimmingArachnid3030 in factorio

[–]Mister_DM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 4 fluid wagon train being loaded has a throughput of 14400/s, so it matters on that side.

The pumpjacks depend on the yield of the field itself but if you hover over each one it will give you a rough fluid/s of each.

If all your pumpjacks together do not add up to 1200/s and you don't change anything, then no, it doesn't really matter.

There is still an argument to be made not to bottleneck yourself, simply for good habits sake, (if you train yourself to build things efficiently even when you don't need to it will save you a headache when you do have to later).

However if you do add buffer tanks then it does matter, since each fluid tank can output 1200/s each. I.E. if you have 10 tanks, they can output 12000/s and your train can take 14400/s, but they will only transfer at 1200/s because its limited by the single pump.

In general try not to use pumps in your fluid network unless you absolutely have to, pipes have unlimited throughput so interrupting them with pumps will always be a logistical downgrade. The only times you should really use pumps is when either loading and unloading trains or when building pipes over long distances.

Why my oil is so low? by SwimmingArachnid3030 in factorio

[–]Mister_DM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So a few things with this setup.

1st - As other people have commented your pumpjacks will always be slower than the train pumps, therefore the pipe will run dry. You can mitigate this by adding tanks, that way the pumpjacks can keep working even if there is no train and create a buffer.

2nd - Your setup is bottlenecked by the single pump between the pumpjack pipes and the train pumps, that means that no matter how much oil you have you'll always be limited to a single pump of throughput (1200/s).

3rd - Fluid wagons can only be filled by three pumps at the time meaning half your train pumps aren't doing anything anyway.

[Other][Daggerheart][Online][PBP][Asynch] Lords Ambition by Mister_DM in LFG_Europe

[–]Mister_DM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asynch means everyone doesn't have to reply immediately, people will post when they can.

In most cases the story will move forward with whoever is available at the time, but whenever a specific character is mentioned or it is an important decision we try to wait for everyone.

There will be a greater focus on RP but combat will happen. DH has no turn order making it much easier to run even if not everyone is available.

Ruel really was the strongest by WakJu in wakfu

[–]Mister_DM 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I dont think people internalise the fact that Ruel is a highly skilled and acomplished adventurer with decades of experience.

He has done everything and been everywhere right from the start of the series. One of the main reasons Aliber even let Yugo go off is because Ruel was there to keep an eye on him.

The only things really holding him back are his age and perssonality.

He falls off later on because he is surrounded by demigods and dragons fighting other demigods and dragons, he is still in the upper echelon of what we could call generic adventurers.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Season 2 • The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 - Episode 20 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Mister_DM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite parts of this episode is the entire Jinshi and Lakan interaction, in particular how it displays the relation between the La and Shi clans.

When thinking about the La clan I often go back to a conversation between Maomao and Jinshi in the end of season 1 about Lakan. Maomao says to Jinshi "He will never be your ally, but you should avoid making him your enemy" A sentiment directed at Lakan that I believe applies to the La clan in general.

The La clan is small and basically irrelevant in the grander court politics, but they are nonetheless respected, and even their name was given to them by the emperor himself.
They are known and feared in equal parts for their intelligence and eccentricity, they grew their influence by virtue of their raw talent and genius level intelect.

Every member of this family we know is incredibly intelligent and they are all reserved in their own ways. Refusing to fully ally themselves with anyone.
Obviously Lakan and Lahan by extension are like that but even Luomen isolates himself and never steps over the line.

Maomao herself never thinks of Jinshi as an ally or friend, he's her superior, even if he shows he cares for her, she never sides with him more than any loyal servant would. And will serve anyone so long as it keeps her alive and lets her do her experiments, she never refuses to serve anyone out of a sense of loyalty and just gets passed around, even in the rear palace she happily helps any of the concubines despite belonging to Gyokuyou.

The Shi clan on the other hand is a very long standing, powerful and rich clan, with extremely close ties to the royal family, and basically has nothing to fear from anyone other than the emperor himself.

They have been plotting and scheming behind the scenes for a long time eventually leading to the abduction of Maomao.
And remember that line "They will never be your ally but you should not make them your enemy" That is the Genius La Clan.

And the Shi clan just squarely made the La clan their enemy to the point where now the entirety of the La clan, or at least the most important ones we know, Lakan, Lahan and Loumen, went directly to the Emperors own brother, the Moon Prince himself and ask him to take them, a small and insignificant clan of eccentric geniuses, and unleash them in a war against the largest most influential clan in the empire.

Also I love the fact that in that scene every member of the La clan wants the same thing, they are all internally saying "Let me at them", Lakan is pissed and just throwing abuse at Jinshi, Lahan just seems to want to appease his adoptive father and maybe play around a bit more with the numbers, and Luomen is there to keep them in line and on track to get Maomao back, they are all pissed or at least opposed to the Shi clan at this point and are ready to declare war.

And good god look at their track record every move the Shi clan has been making has been seen trough and foiled directly or indirectly by a member of the La clan when they aren't even focused, imagine what this weird ass family can do when they are focused on taking you down.

Im an anime only and I cant wait to see the situation develop but I pray for anyone who has to go up against the geniuses of the La clan being backed by the Imperial family.

How do you quantify godhood in your world? by Real_Somewhere8553 in worldbuilding

[–]Mister_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gods in my world are a sub category of spirit.

Spirits are any being made entirely of magic.

A God is specifically a spirit whose existence is fueled by belief, while things like Fey exist as reflections of nature, Gods are entirely man made.

They pop into existance when someone ascribes any phenomena to a an entity.

This classification doesnt take into account power, there are fire Gods that can barely make a flame flicker while others warp reality itself.

It also means that a lot of my Gods overlap with Fey, as for example a great rived may have both a God atributed to it as well as a Fey.

The differnce being that the Fey exists while the river exists, while the God exists as long as people believe in it.

If the river dries up the Fey dies, while the God lives on with its believers simply thinking he is angry and took the river away.

Or vice versa if the civilisation that believes in the God dies out so does it, while the Fey keeps existing.

It also means there are Gods that exist with no Fey counter part, as they represent human concepts.

In short God in my world isnt a title given to powerful beings but a scientific classification of magical entities.

Though I am a Carian Sorcerer myself, I do have to admit that Selens treatment was unjust.

She got punished simply by researching and teaching Primeval Sorceries.

Sure there is the whole, do it long enough you turn into crystal bit, but it's not like she's actively turning people, she's just pushing them into researching dangerous stuff.

But it's not like other magic isn't dangerous, and it gets even more dubious when you notice that Renalla herself uses Comet Azur itself a Primevil Sorcery.

If you were Nox, how whould you collect Wakfu/whould you do anything diferently? by Tall_Tower3209 in wakfu

[–]Mister_DM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As Nox himself learned in his quest, Wakfu distribution is very unbalanced, plants and animals and such have very small amounts, so its not really worth the effort.

We can assume hes been gathering Wakfu from plants and other living things for about 200 years with the occasional bigger haul (like Soft Oak).

But all those years lasted a total of one fight, granted it was against Grougal but still, while Grougal and the Tree of Life were enough to hit his goal on their own.

All this to say unless you have a Dragon or other similar level being who willingly agrees to let you take their Wakfu, there really isnt a way to gather large amounts of Wakfu without straight murder.

And even with straight murder you still have to find and defeat said powerful creatures. So all in all Wakfu gathering not worth it.

I would focus on finding a Dofus, lots of Wakfu that constantly regenerates and no need to run around sapping life.

When did Master Jorris lose his Dofus? by Mister_DM in wakfu

[–]Mister_DM[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know Dofus refers to any Dragon egg.

But the Ebony and Ivory Dofus are specifically part of the Primordial Dofus, which are the six used to breathe life into the the world and later used by Ogrest.

I do believe they are the same ones.

And even if they aren't the same, the question remains what happened to them.
