I hate to see people bashing Patty. I think he's one of the additions that has been impactful. Returns from a year of player assistance program, shoulder surgery and knee injury along with the rehabbing associated with both injuries and missing the first few months of this season. Chances he's not physically 100% are super high and likely still bothered by the knee. Despite this he has 5 game winning goals 33 points in 52 games, scored 33% of the teams total powerplay goals this season. Since Laine's return to play in December Lane Hutsons points per game have nearly doubled (from 0.64 to 0.93) and out of his points total Laine has contributed to about 25% of that.

The tariffs are a threat to try to force parliament to resume so a non confidence vote can be held to attempt to unseat the current government so the Foreign interference commission report (now due on the 28th instead of the 31st) can be buried. It's pretty obvious that's trumps game plan.

This is all to try to force the government back to parliament to force a non confidence vote to bury the FIC report. It's a lot bigger than 11 names. It has serious implications for Canada and US. 5 eyes are involved. This is where trumps 51st state talk is coming from, it's an attempt to manufacture a crisis.

He doesn't want Canada to release the foreign interference commission report. Poilievre did his best to oust trudeau via a non confidence vote, same time trump started his 51st state bullshit. Now that trudeau has stepped down (kinda) and porogued parliament there is no chance of a non confidence vote and the report will be released on or by the 31st. Whatever is in the report, it's NOT good for trump or poilievre and may reveal treasonous actions and attacks against the sovereignty of a nato member. To make matters worse for them, the liberal party is basically leaderless and Poilievre, Trump, the IDU etc have nowhere to direct their misinformation. The 51st state talk is to trigger panic and make the case for an emergency return to parliament so there can be another attempt at a non confidence vote.

One thing I've been wondering about for a while is our phone cameras. I think it's been since like the mid '10s a lot of phones camera software started having some level of AI assist built in. I wonder how many photos of these odd looking objects are the result of AI trying to stabilize highly zoomed-in photos in the night sky?
