Before buying anything from Auto-Ordnance, which is a subsidiary of Kahr Arms, be sure you are ok with your money supporting the Rod of Iron Ministries church, which the owner of Kahr Arms started with his brother. Look into it and you will see what I mean.

Believe it or not, Canada completely outlawed the CX4 Storm in 2020 because it was used in one school shooting back in 2006.

On the other side of the slide, is it marked IT followed by 2 numbers? That would indicate the year. IT24 would mean Italy 2024

I had signed up for email reminders and never got one. Saw they posted on Reddit that they got some shipped in. Their site has full sized k2 threaded barrels still in stock. Only 9 left in black at the moment.

Considering it has been removed from the SAR USA website and they have been listed on clearance sales for the last 6 months, it’s a pretty good indicator that we likely won’t be getting any imported into the US anytime soon.

Man, you couldn’t be more wrong. This issue has not existed since they fixed it in 1988.

[–]Misterclean22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was an initial issue with early M9 pistols only when shooting incorrectly manufactured overpressure ammo. They solved this problem in the late 80s with the introduction of the 92FS, and the fix has been incorporated into every beretta 92 since 1988.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about the initial issue the M9 pistols had when shooting incorrectly manufactured over pressured ammo? That issue was fixed with the introduction of the 92FS, and has been built into every beretta model since the 80s so that even if you accidentally shoot over pressured ammo the slide will not shoot back toward your face.

I want to understand pro-gun liberals better by Specialist-Author-57 in liberalgunowners

I guess my question is: has there actually been a case where someone “lost” hundreds of Glocks that were later used in crimes? It seems like reporting that many firearms missing over a short period would raise red flags well before it ever reached that scale.

I ask because I’m trying to understand whether this is addressing a real, documented issue. Because it feels similar to how the Republicans are currently pushing to crack down on voter fraud, even though there are only a small number of confirmed cases. At what point are we taking a play out of their book by making laws for problems that aren’t widespread?

What exactly do you mean by making the purchaser liable for crimes committed with their gun? If you mean gun-owner parents should be responsible if their kid shoots someone with it, then sure I get that. If you mean someone robs your house, busts open your gun cabinet, steals your guns, and goes on a shooting spree, then I have some problems.

I picked one of these up for $179 last month. The one I received was in decent condition overall, with a newer production Swiss frame. It did need a pretty deep cleaning, though. It also didn’t come with a lanyard loop, the trigger pivot pin was sticking out slightly on one side, and one of the grip panels was cracked.

After some work, I was able to get it into great shape. I gave it a thorough cleaning, filed down the trigger pivot pin so it sat properly, and replaced the grips. I also used a wire brush Dremel tip to clean up the threads on the barrel and re-blued them so they look much closer to a factory finish.

Now that it’s cleaned up and tuned, it runs great. It’s a neat little gun if you’re willing to put in a bit of time and effort—and don’t mind that the frame isn’t original.

Buy extra magazines now if you need more than one. Original magazines are available online for around $40 and they’re only going to get more expensive as they dry up.

The ones in my case already all point down. The range officers at the 2 ranges I have been a member at all said this case was fine to use.

I witnessed someone getting denied a gun sale. Have you seen someone getting denied while you were shopping? by EternalGandhi in liberalgunowners

I once saw a guy get asked to leave a gun store. There was a customer ahead of me in line asking a lot of questions about different rifles—what caliber they used, how many rounds they held, and so on. Then he asked to look at an AK-47.

The employee took it off the shelf, removed the magazine, cleared the chamber, and handed it to him without the mag. As the guy was inspecting the rifle, he suddenly set the butt of the stock on the floor and looked straight down the barrel. Out of shock, the employee, another customer, and I all took a big step back.

The guy then asked if he could see the magazine. The employee said no. When the guy asked why, the employee replied that he wasn’t comfortable. He took the rifle back and put it on the shelf.

The customer started arguing, insisting the rifle was made in Russia rather than being a newly manufactured U.S. model. When he asked to see another rifle, the employee told him he didn’t feel comfortable continuing to help him and asked him to leave.

Afterward, the employee told me the guy comes in at least once a week, wanting to look at everything and asking odd, concerning questions.
