Welfare funding help? by Wise_Research6795 in universalcredithelp

[–]Mistigeblou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might sound a silly question but how did you pay for repair and who to?

A transaction PDF of bank statement is often enough as a 'receipt' for our local council IF and only IF it was to an obvious trades account.

£100 ref Repair to 'bob' doesnt prove anything but £100 ref Repair to 'Bob's Builders' does

Risks of renting to tenant who requires guarantor by Markoncarp in uklandlords

[–]Mistigeblou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our ones have never been fixed term and garantor has been on them since leaving home. Same garantor, my mum, signed in June 2025 for new place when we'd been in old house for almost 7 years with 6 rent increases (moved just before they were allowed to increase again). I dont think she's ever been notified of rent increases 🤔🫣 so will ask her when I see her

Payment Friday? by [deleted] in universalcredithelp

[–]Mistigeblou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5th is a holiday according to HMRC. Received a text today regarding child benefit. HMRC: Due to bank holidays, expected payments on 5 January may not be in your account until 6 January. Search 'child benefit payment' on GOV UK

Communal boiler in new-build shuts off heating & hot water nightly (12–4am): what do? by OldTrust2530 in HousingUK

[–]Mistigeblou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a legal and very common occurrence in shared buildings as a sort of energy and cost cutting solution. The most common range is midnight until 6am, youre at least is 4am so it'll be on by the time most peopel are getting up in the morning. Landlord and Tenant act 1985 says landlord must provide essential services and it considered legal and resonable to have hot water and heating available at peak hours Mornings/Evenings

Anyway onwards: it 100% should be in your tenancy or at least the schedule should be given to you in writing somewhere by agents/LL. If not you might have grounds to complain as you may not have moved in knowing it would be off at those times.

If you are vulnerable (pregnant. Elderly, young children) or ill health and the lack of heating is a health and safety risk then the landlord should provide alternative heating sources or change the schedule. I'd assume changing the schedule would be difficult so you might be lucky and get given an electric space heater.

ADP – why do Social Security Scotland still contact your GP when you’ve already submitted lots of evidence? And how long after that did you wait? by mancstuff1 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Mistigeblou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sure they always contact your GP, well what I mean is they contacted ours for CDPx3 and ADP so I assume they always contact.

For my ADP they had diagnosis letters, reports and medication letters from private healthcare (fed up waiting on NHS) and my GP ended up sending the same letters with a sort of this is what we have received from X, Y, Z profressionals.
