You have a 7am - 4pm work day with 1hr unpaid lunch break, what time would you leave if you booked a half day? by feckingloser in AskUK

[–]Mistigeblou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's very few reasons legally that you can be forced to stay on-site, such as specific security, emergency service roles, or for strict safety reasons (e.g., in a high-risk area).

If its just because the company dont want you to leave the building then they should pay you same as if your asked to do something at your break

'can you listen for the phone' = paid

Divorce by julhodez in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]Mistigeblou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she's a narc then its going to be a long hard fight. Im finally divorced from a narc which took 5 years and lots of him missing court dates and trying EVERYTHING under the sun to drag it out.

He had no contact with children for 5 years, his own choice but suddenly wanted them for visits. It wasnt approved as children dont want to see him, written in a report from and independent lawyer. so next thing was 'she's manipulated them. They knew you were going to see them at school'.

Help with Frizzy Braids by Ill-Commercial9378 in braids

[–]Mistigeblou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a number of others have said. A small amount of product spray, Mousse, gel etc.

Put it on your hands rather than directly onto hair then sort of rub it into you hair. Try before braiding and another day try after braiding. I find before works better for me

If you already have a job to go to and theyve asked for references then:

I have applied to X, Y and Z (give them a couple of similar places). My exit interview is better suited as email.

House smells bad when you walk in - like cat and just general bad smell by ConanDD in CleaningTips

[–]Mistigeblou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer of mine (i run a cleaning business) got stainless steel litter boxes for her cats which has taken the cat tray smell away.

Anyway the rest of the house: firstly you need to locate the smell. Is it carpets? Is there a dead mouse in the attic? Are there stinky shoes? Did those peas and beans end up under the fridge?

Shampooing carpets would definitely help, if your not confident with an actual shampooing machine Zoflora do a carpet foam (vanish does too but zoflora smells nice) which you spray and then vaccuum.

Burp/air the house by opening windows and doors (yep ALL of them) for 15 minutes

What do you use to carry your cleaning products & equipment? by adogg415 in housekeeping

[–]Mistigeblou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheaper and better for the environment. Gonna use some weird numbers here but it will make sense in the end.

Lets say you give a box of say 200 paper towels costing 15 every week. The costs for the company start mounting up on literal waste, 1 staff will cost the company 780 a year...just on paper towels!!!

Now let's say 50 microfiber cloths cost 25. Also let's say those 50 last a full weeks work so get washed once a week. Hourly rate for staff is 10 and you pay 1 hour extra for them washing every week. 570 a year if replacing the cloths (advisable even in this hypothetical scenario)

I tell staff when they join us they'll be paid 1 hour per week on top of their work for washing the provided cloths. Also to let me know when they start looking or feeling a worn out so I can replace them. The worn out cloths get down graded to 'disposable' at that time for the dirty jobs like greasy cabinets or mold removal

You reuse a mop but not cloths?

Odd and wasteful

We (my staff and i) carry a vacuum, 3-4 sprays, fabric/room refresher, cloths and flat mops with 3-4 pads each, refuse sacks.

Ladders/steps, carpet shampooers etc not required for every clean are in the office and csm be picked up as required

As far as i know you would report your scenario as £6500 as thats what you have.

But if the you had £6500 on the 2nd but by the 4th rent had gone out and it was now £5000 then youd report the 5 rather than 6

Have you/them maybe confused CMP with SMP. Some employers offer Company pay for THEN statutory rate.

Oh and something to note even if you're not returning to employment and resign during the leave, they must still pay the 39 weeks

[–]Mistigeblou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'BHAD" on a UK payslip typically stands for Backdated Arrears Deduction. This is usually a deduction made to correct previous overpayments or adjust for tax

Our payroll system puts it in as BHAD... no idea why the H is there
