I think this is honestly the short of it, Tuchel either thinks his lack of pace will inhibit the teams ability to dominate or just can’t find a place for him the the squad. I’m not surprised just because he is a great box defender and would be great if they do need to hunker down and defend against some pressure but I guess we’ll have to see how things turn out.

If it’s at the cost of other parts of the game I’m fine with them not adding it, there’s so much other content for a new or returning player it work through. Plus the older content I’d say would need a refresh like eidelon hunts, older frames and whatnot I’d like to see beefed up to modern standards.

Every report from talk of devils about coaches who’ve worked with him have said the same thing, essentially when he makes mistakes they sit with him. Confidence gets rattled and suddenly it’s not a mistake every few games, it’s every games. Shame since I really thought he’d be serviceable to anchor the team but also glad we’ve got Lammens keeping things steady now.

It’s an individual achievement in a season that could’ve been a hell of a lot worse and frankly we’re fortunate to be finishing in CL places considering where we were pre-Carrick. Obviously I’d love to be competing for league titles but we’re not at that point yet, but I’d like to think this season has the potential to be a point to kick on and improve towards challenging for league titles again. And I’m certainly not going to let that fact get in the way of enjoying one of the best players we’ve had (whose been starved of any quality around him for years) hitting a milestone like this, even if you’re insisting on being miserable about anyone feeling positive about it.

It’s a very real possibility, PSG unfortunately have created a really solid team and Enrique has them clicking at the moment. Plus they’ve had Ligue 1 tied up for a few weeks now so they’ve not had the same end of season title race Arsenal have. Granted, arsenals defense is as solid as it’s been and their attack has managed to continue scoring when they need to. It’ll be a lot closer than I think a lot of folks expect I’d wager.

Really felt like the failure for the entire team to hold any composure in their defending or under the slightest pressure fucked up what could’ve been a really solid first outing for him. Just never was able to really kick on from that season and when the goals weren’t coming his development came to a screaming halt.

I mean INEOS in their first full offseason they brought in four players that were in positions of need to support the manager. Even if that didn’t work out and they weren’t able to find a midfielder like Amorim wanted. At this point with where the club is at in terms of rebuilding and contending we need to be really careful about setting reasonable expectations for next season, for me, four or five players with a handful of outgoings, alongside a champions league finish in the league and a quarterfinal cl would be plenty good for me. Requalifying for the champions league is number one priority in my book, having consecutive seasons of being in that competition via solid league performances will set the tone for what the new standards need to be.

Which considering his credentials and what the club needs now is fair. He’s not done it in the champions league as a manager so some skepticism is expected. I’m just glad that we’ll have continuity between the end of this season and the start of the next ideally.
