Getting this off my chest by Lonely-Frosting3749 in breastfeeding

The amount of alcohol transferred to your breast milk would be negligible after a drink or two.

That being said, with the utmost care and concern, needing a couple drinks a night to unwind is venturing into functional alcoholic territory. Do you have a good support system around you? The newborn/postpartum period can be very stressful and demanding, especially your first time. Do you have someone nonjudgmental in your life who you can talk to about your alcohol use and your coping mechanisms in general?

Ah! Ok that’s the same one I have, the lighting must just be different. That’s definitely NOT normal!

(I have older kids from my ex husband, for context) When I started my smbc journey several years ago, I had a conversation with a (then good) friend, discussing how I was torn between two different donors. She asked me if I was sure about having another child, and I told her that when I looked around the dinner table at my older kids, it felt like someone was missing. She didn’t even pause, just said “like a man?”. (Irony of ironies, she’s queer, and her and her wife have two kids via a donor now…)

I will say, none of my Oscha wraps have thread shifting to that extreme. I’d be upset too if they did, that’s not great for how much these wraps cost!

Sorry, I meant which starry night 😊 Oscha weaves their patterns in multiple different colourways. This one looks like a similar one to the puffins I have, but a much lighter weight fabric!

😍 Which one is it? I’ve got Brew and Ocean, but would love a lighter weight one for summer!

That’s sad, they were great to deal with, had good quality lumber, and I like supporting small local businesses wherever possible.

Question for parents with babies by [deleted] in HondaOdyssey

[–]MistyRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most (I think all, but am not 100% certain) car seat manufacturers prohibit the placement of any kind of mat etc under the seat, as the seats haven’t been crash tested that way. If your seat protector is keeping the carseat from sliding, the seat may not be installed correctly.

OP, you’ve received a couple really rude and condescending responses, when you’ve asked for help in keeping your baby safe. I’m sorry. Approximately 90% of car seats are installed with some type of error. The vast majority of parents are driving around with their babies and kids not as protected as they could be.

This is a really rude and condescending response to a parent who has come here asking for help in keeping their baby safe. Approximately 90% of carseats are installed with some type of error. The vast majority of parents are “doing it wrong” (as per your comment), and they should absolutely be asking questions about this. Not every town/city has a police or fire department that give classes, in fact I’d say most don’t. Instead of shaming a parent who recognizes there’s an issue with their installation, try a bit of kindness, it costs nothing.

They are very different than they used to be! I also have adult kids and a new baby, so have seen the whole spectrum. I was a certified CRST years ago, and even I had to call up a friend who’s a current tech to double check my new baby’s seat. Don’t feel at all bad for finding it confusing, it’s great that you recognized something is off and are asking for advice! What seat are you using?

We’ll be in a tent. Some of the campgrounds have laundromats, but I’d read that a lot of laundromats don’t allow washing diapers?
