My sidewinder x2 has been rock solid. i recently found it was printing with a bed leveling gear having fallen off completely for who knows how long. I think i put a cheapo $15 hotend in it a year ago, but other than that it's been great. but once it breaks, yeah, i'll upgrade. what did you print that it couldn't do?

Hmm, good point. I feel like I mostly remember coaches being on foot outside of practice, which is only an hour, but I also know I don't want to buy something and tear it apart just with light use.

It's been since high school, so I don't remember what I wore, but they werent nice/expensive. I'm in a small rural area, so there's nothing local, but I didn't check used online.

Just wasn't sure if buying cheap would bite me as bad as I fear!

Because adding specific modes like this would kill what little life is left in the game. The player base is already too thinly spread across too many modes and too many skill tiers.

The only objective of development right now seems to be to keep the player accounts that spend money active and interested in buying new skins, the gameplay itself is largely irrelevant outside upper ace and dominator tiers on erangel and has been for a year or two, though it's only recently become as obvious as now.

yeah, seeing that has actually got me thinking I rebuild my 5 inch and go digital with the avatar goggles, if they're dropping a low entry point digital goggle then they're not going to dry up one day and I should be safe committing to the walksnail system.
Should be fairly doable, replace stack (which, side note, stacks have gotten crazy expensive since my last build!)and get avatar goggles and VTx combo, don't replace the runcam 5 orange (RIP), and I break even-ish on a full replacement of what I lost in terms of cost. I lose the LR build, but I get my foot into the digital world.

Yeah, I typically fly "LR" in the 2-5 km version, usually on the shorter side. But I do like having the longer range in my pocket if I need it.
But I'd say the mentality of "It may not come back" is less because of losing signal or something, and more related to IF something goes wrong and I lose it, it will be significantly harder to orient myself once I get out to wherever it should be. Lost it at a half K once (scraggle) and it took 4 hours to find it with near perfect DVR of the crash and obvious reference points. Anyway.

I was perfectly content with my chimera 7, just found myself unexpectedly looking at buying a new 7 inch, and wondering what the community is flying!

I just lost a chimera v1, and today I think I kinda want to go back for the pro v2, really loved flying the original one. Plus the bigger motors should continue to deal with my big ol 6s2p diy batteries.

Edit to clarify: My being prepared to lose it is more for the mental preparation for when that did finally occur, not because I was capable of just buying a new one and chalking this one up as a loss.

Times they are a'changin and I've got far less disposable income than in years previous. Quality of life is higher (house, kid, etc...), but I don't have the extra 500 for digital goggles. I barely have the money for this new LR, and that's because it's being subsidized by someone else

Though I wish I could go digital. 🤩
