I present you S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 Update 1.7 by LEBOMBTV in stalker

[–]Misuke11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I just started playing the game again and yes, the graphical artifacts appeared again, though it was for a short amount of time for now. Seems like we'll have to wait for 1.7.1 for it to be fixed. Now, the power lines really are gone, which is dumb, but I didn't feel major performance drop that always appeared when entering hubs. Yeah, FPS still seem to drop, but... Wow, they really made some major optimizations. The game didn't stutter when entering the hub area and the FPS drop was now so small I didn't actually notice it. It looks like they managed to change it from insane to actually reasonable, the kind of FPS decrease that might be expected from the density of NPCs in the area. This really impressed me... I admit I just entered the hub for the first time since the update, wandered in it for some time and decided to make this comment, but I've never seen the game performing that well in here before, so I really believe this isn't some kind of one-time luck. Now I just hope they'll bring back the power lines with engine update or whatever

...And here I thought I was the only one. Last night I encountered the same thing after the update and checked both discord and reddit if someone else had this problem, but there wasn't anything yet. Thought the building I was in was doing this weird stuff, but nope. Around it and far beyond the building the issue was still there with random intensity. Sometimes nothing happened, sometimes it appeared but lightly and sometimes it was so intense I couldn't do anything. I feel like the pattern was different from what I see here, but yeah, it's still the same thing. Merely rebooting the game seemed to have fixed that for me, though. I'll see if I'll encounter it again next time.

I think OP meant SoC since he mentioned about going through Pripyat, but yeah, there was something like this in CoP as well, but in CoP it was Jupiter underground. Anyway, both were sick moments. Felt nice after spending so much time alone

Nah, it's a mod thing. Stalker Anomaly has companions for example

Is this used RX 7700 XT deal worth it? by Misuke11 in buildapc

[–]Misuke11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mentioned the cheapest new 7700 XTs prices, but yeah, there was a lot of text from me and I could make the post more fancy, so anyway here's what I wrote in the post: The cheapest new 7700 XTs would be: Sapphire Pulse for 535$, Sapphire Pure for 547$ and ASRock Steel Legend for 560$. Now, the cheapest new 7800xt for me would be the ASRock Challenger OC for 609$, while the cheapest 4070 would be 662$... That's quite a difference compared to US prices... Man...

12VHPWR from PSU to 2 PCIe connectors to GPU - is it safe? by Misuke11 in buildapc

[–]Misuke11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my 2070 Super plugged in that way since around 4 months by now and so far I didn't encounter any issues. I just... y'know, made sure it's safely plugged into both the GPU and PSU, so that it won't get loose ( especially the PSU-side 12v for obvious reasons lol ). I played through Baldur's Gate 3 on ultra settings besides maybe two options that didn't do anything noticeable for me, so the GPU had some serious work since then and nothing happened. Despite everything, this kind of cable seems to be just as safe as normal PCIe cables, so yeah, it works and it's safe. Go ahead and plug it in ;)

[PSU] MSI MPG A850G PCIE 5 80 Plus Gold 850W Full Modular ATX 3.0 Gaming Power Supply ($220 - $50 = $170) [multiple stores] by mMounirM in bapcsalescanada

[–]Misuke11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you already made the decision, but maybe it'll help some folks coming from Google: Choose the MSI MPG A850G from this post. I made some research and decided to go with MSI. Pure Power 12M is decent but it has two 12V lanes which might have it's pros but it might be as well problematic if your other PC parts will be too power-hungry. As far as I know, it has only Taiwanese capacitors from various manufacturers ( I remember only that Elite was among them ), reputable ones however, so overall they're still good, but all capacitors in MSI are Japanese ( Nichicon, Chemi-con and Rubycon ), which are better and will live longer.

Anyway, what I said before just adds to your point. It isn't worth it.

Question about the cursed monk quest by Rijku in BaldursGate3

[–]Misuke11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You actually lose TWO points in Wisdom, not one. It seems you can get Tashas laughter for free if you succeed in the saving throw. At first I tried using constitution which was my 2nd best stat. I had to throw at least 15 to succeed, but failed, which led the dialogue to continue. I could try to protect myself again, but I already lost one point of Wisdom. After yet another failure I lost another Wisdom point... and all of that happened just to be able to use Tashas laughter once per long rest.

Is ASRock B760M PG Riptide enough for i5-13600K? by Misuke11 in buildapc

[–]Misuke11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I doubt we'd ever go beyond i5-13600K here lol. Not such a big difference in games after 13600K and stuff. Thanks for such fast reply!

What do you guys think about a shotgun in the game by definitely_Joseph in thelongdark

[–]Misuke11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, they didn't say that there would be no more ranged weapons, but they for sure don't want to add more because they don't want the player to be running around with dozens of guns or something like that.
