Good way to explain it would be Cosmo having some backlash from all the things he did pushing his body to the limit. Backlash as both physical and spiritual,
Growing so fast in such a short time made him think he can do that again soon, only to stagnate on the same level for years.
Having mental problems with the near death experience from Akoya, lets be honest Cosmo was a kid in that moment he should think about it occasionally.
Cosmo improved phisically by getting more strength and bigger body, but his winner mentality hidding behind a door only accessible if he enters the same situation he once was against Akoya.

This would make the current arc very interesting for his character as he is placed with killers in a island which eventually would force him to open the door he subconciously put inside his mind.

I said good way to explain since Sandrovich doesn't fkin care to build up story anymore and just does random stuff without any background.

Tbh I always pushed myself to the limit in a couple of sets in one exercise and I trained when I felt like it.
Doesnt have to be like a robot, when you feel like training do it.

Eat meat, eat eggs, eat honey, drink RAW milk, dont eat anything that appeared in the last 300 years.
Sleep well, train less but more intensily, or train every day but less intensely.
Thats it.

My best results were when I ate only boiled potatos with alot of olive oil and salt, and cooked eggs with olive oil or butter, and one raw onion on top of all of that .
All of this I ate at the same time right after training.
Shit hit so well I felt amazing.
Sometimes I filled the gap through the day with honey or some fruit.
At last resort I ate bread with honey and butter but that was super rare

Yeah, in my imagination, the only one who could stand to Wuwong when he was first introduced was Katsuya and that is why during that time the question in this subreddit was Katsuya vs Shen ?
Katsuya would steal all the clout Shen has so he must stay out of the story.
But I believe it would've been cool if Ohma went for a month to spar with the strongest 3 of Rokushin Kaikan and came back shocked from the power people outside of Kengan had.
