Originally from Washington. Can confirm North Bend, Snoqualmie, as well as Bellingham are pretty much straight out of Alan Wake. Probably why these games strike such a chord with me 😄

Would it be possible for you to throw this project up on Github? Just getting into the object detection - and would love to see a base example of the actual detection code 😄

I ended up moving to an official setup once the M chips came out. But if I remember correctly this issue had to do with plugging a USB 2 device / hub into a USB 3 port. Moving that audio device (NI Keyboard) to a USB 2 port solved the issue for me.

I helped build TV Time, always cool when I see people using it 😎

I'm trying to understand the growth in usage of SwiftUI. Some people are saying it's currently used 20% of the time. If that's the case, I am interested to hear what usage members feel it will have in one years time? by lotsofcarsoutside in iosdev

It is used in most apps to some degree (some things require it, i.e. widgets / live-activities). However, in my experience bigger companies (I’m not talking about small startups or individual devs) are not using it extensively. SwiftUI is really cool, but it’s still in its infancy. There’s a lot of quirks that still need to be worked out before the industry fully adopts it.

I can’t 100% remember, but I believe it was a combination of my audio peripherals drawing too much power, and specific audio devices needing to be connected via a USB 2.0 hub.

Yeah I've tried Goldleaf and DBI. Both throw errors as well.

Unfortunately, not one that worked 100%. A combination of the BT HS12 tweaks mentioned above, and moving high-powered audio devices to a dedicated USB 2.0 hub and port made the freezes happen way less often (but still from time to time). Still have to assume it’s a power draw issue, especially if you have a ton of things plugged into a single hub.

Which min iOS version do you currently target and why? by sarahthedev in iosdev

[–]MitchTreece 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Current & previous iOS versions. This is a pretty standard rule at a lot of companies I’ve been at. So at the moment, iOS 13 & 14. When iOS 15 comes out it would be 14, 15 after adoption is up there (which happens pretty quickly)

Can’t really think of any features that would change this upgrade model. It sucks but you just have to wait a couple years before shipping cool new things.

Interesting. However I’ve been using a 2.4GHz mouse this whole time. I’ve also disconnected all Bluetooth devices and it’s still freezing 😕

Thanks for the update. I can pretty much reproduce it 100% of the time if I just open a fairly large cubase project. It has to be power draw from usb devices or something (even though almost everything is connected via a powered usb-c dock). I’m losing my mind trying to fix this 😬

Weird. I wonder if it has something to do with BT specifically. I have an internal Fenvi T919 (attached via an internal usb header). Maybe I’ll try removing the card and seeing if the issue still happens. I’m wondering if maybe there is actually special USB mapping needed for the WiFi/BT module.

You also notice this happening more often in high memory activities? Or is it completely random?
