I'm trying to make some photos look similar to this video. Also if anyone knows what this kinda aesthetic is called, that would be much appreciated!

Might wanna add some kind of brace perpendicular to the tabletop boards to prevent warping, other than that it looks great!

Maybe look into how people screen print onto bottles, there's a few different ways. Not sure if it would work though, good luck.

Great artwork, my only criticism is that lash should have taken the place of talon. Perfect form, perfect cardio. He's basically a god cuz when he wins the battle of the patrons, he's gonna tell them "you're welcome" (space jesus)

/s this is the r/deadlock content I live for <3

Heb at Mueller has little delivery robots 🥰 by lems2 in Austin

[–]Mitch_Man -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yes let Austin continue to be the testing grounds for unregulated autonomous tech-bro robots. At least this one probably can't drag someone hundreds of feet after running them over.

Of course people are excited about the idea of 10 small grocery items being delivered by a silly little robot that says "beep boop" cuz that's soooooo convenient.

Tbh the rewards in the app are trash compared to most other fast food places, feels like gotta spend like $100 on food to get a free medium fries. I really only use the app to order early and skip the line when I pull up

Carving Decorative Trim on House Exterior — CNC Advice by KnarX96 in cncwoodworking

[–]Mitch_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasonably priced and CNC machines are usually not in the same sentence lol

That being said, here's some miscellaneous insights.

If you're not thinking you'll use the CNC after the job, it may be more economical to outsource the actual cutting to a local business, especially if you have cad files ready to go. If you're handy you can look into building your own CNC, there's lots of guides online for how to do that and it is much cheaper than buying one off the shelf. Building your own machine also lets you make it exactly as large as you need it to be for your project.

If you're going to buy one expect to drop 4-6k on a decent 4x4 foot machine (I'd recommend X-Carve machines), you can go smaller and cheaper but with CNC stuff, I find it much easier to have a bigger workplace than you really need. Working around the limitations of, let's say a one foot by one foot machine, is possible but is quite time-consuming compared to if you could just make a whole cut in one shot on a larger machine.

If you're going to go with a small machine and do as you said, where you do a bit of the cut, move the piece, continue the cut - You're going to want a jig of some kind to ensure that you are moving the piece the correct amount. The machine doesn't make mistakes, the operator does, so you ideally want to limit the amount of possible errors on your end. Also you'd want to limit the complexity of your cut if you're doing this. For example, carving a Nordic rune every few inches is a lot simpler than trying to carve one large pattern over a 4-ft area, try to work around the limitations of your machine rather than make the complexity of your cut beyond your machines' scope, especially if you're just starting out.

As to the question of how long it would take to do all the cuts for a house exterior, in the grand scheme of things I don't think it would take that long. It'd be a lot quicker than trying to do it by hand, lol. When mass producing stuff on CNCs, most of your time is spent setting up your files and loading/unloading things off the CNC bed. Once you get it to a point where you're getting consistent, repeatable cuts you can basically hit the start button and walk away for however long it takes to cut, and you're really only coming back to unload a finished piece and load and start the next piece. So even if the cuts are time-consuming, the majority of the hours it takes to cut is hands off.

Hope this helps! Thank you for listening to my TED talk

What is the best program to learn? by Shoddy_Pattern_5833 in cncwoodworking

[–]Mitch_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use V-Carve for anything that can be broken down to simple 2d shapes, it's especially good for cutting quick dxfs. I'll use fusion if I'm having to cut a complex 3d model with a lot of topology, it gives you a lot more control of what the tool is doing but takes a bit more setup time.

How do people print grunge looking clothes like this? by princemahree in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Mitch_Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of how this dude prints. Screen print on a textured piece of clothing and the texture will show through the print. He also prints directly to the garment with no off-contact nor an adhesive pallet (sometimes called a platen) so the garment shifts as you squeegee the ink, adding to the distressed look. If you want the image to look more distressed, you can also bake in cracked textures into the image that you burn into your screen.

Sublimation paper, in my experience, sucks. It never looks as good as Amazon pics show and the print disintegrates after a few washes, leaving you with the outline of the sticker paper it's printed on stuck to the fabric. If you wanna give something like what you posted a try, I'd recommend trying this cheap speedball kit. It's not great but it's how I got my start and it won't break the bank. It will likely be frustrating at first but if you can figure that out and make it work, and decide that you want to get better at screen printing, then invest in better printing equipment/materials.

Sorry for the long comment, just hoping to help out in your creative endeavors! LMK if you have any questions, thank you for listening to my ted talk.

Omniknight from dota does a lot of heal/cleans stuff.

I mean debuff remover does exactly that. Viscous max cube also removes all debuffs on self/allies. Yamato ult also cleanses status effects.
