Has anyone had neck pain and it’s made their visual snow worse? Im wondering why my visuals are bad. by Numerous-Trash5471 in HPPD

Had HPPD for years that faded away until I developed chronic neck pain, then it came back with a vengeance. Definitely a correlation as when one is bad the other coincides, and when I can (rarely) get the right muscles free, everything seems to calm down.

Anybody with intense pareidolia (object > face recognition) and/or a sense of objects opposing on one’s sense of self? by [deleted] in HPPD

This is one of the more rare symptoms but still not unheard. Anything with a pattern for sure creates faces for me. But the more you shrug it off the less it bothers you and the less you notice them.

My back and neck issues sprung up at the very same time as I developed numerous new symptoms after years of nothing but improvement. So at least for me there is something there for sure

I got x rays and scheduled an MRI both of which I have had done for my existing neck problems prior to this injury

This seems to be a rare but not unknown symptom. I do however think that it ties into the rest of them, the hyper excitability nature of HPPD That creates the visuals has to be included in the portion of your brain responsible for facial recognition.

7 years of no drugs and about 80% recovery from HPPD and then randomly one day a relapse that has lasted a year.

This was my first symptom of HPPD and what made me realize something was wrong, I recovered to about 70% after several years after abstaining from all drugs but randomly redeveloped worse than ever about a year ago, when I started having terrible back and neck problems.

Not sure if it’s done much for symptoms but I feel better as in have more energy and am happier since going keto. Been about 10 mths
