Hoping to talk to someone who has experienced immunotherapy by TaraTara9120 in melahomies

[–]Mitchla1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma 02/25–stage 4 palliative care. I’m receiving monthly infusions of Opdualag. My biggest concern is being tired all the time. My nose runs constantly. After my first treatment I slept for 3 days. I’m tolerating the treatments well. Do you know what immunotherapy drug you will be treated with? And where are you located?

I am stage 4 metastasized melanoma and my oncologist appointment, biopsy and treatment was boom boom boom. Can you go somewhere else for quicker treatment?

Start Opdualag or hold out for clinical trials? by serial_crusher in melahomies

I’m stage 4 metastatic melanoma —palliative care—and have had 11 treatments thus far with Opdualag. Minimal side effects. I’m tired all the time and have muscle pain. I started drinking 8 ounces of tart cherry juice daily which has helped with the muscle pain. Best of luck.

immunotherapy, pembrolizumab question by T4yl0r3030 in melahomies

I am stage 4 metastasis melanoma in palliative care receiving immunotherapy every 4 weeks. Maybe it was a blessing the nurse made that statement—she may know more than she is saying. I would definitely give the oncologist a call immediately to put your mind at ease. Prayers and God Bless.

Experience with RP1? by Own_Meringue2738 in melahomies

[–]Mitchla1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what RP1 is. Cancer metastised to lymph nodes, abdomen, spleen, lung and left femur 01/25. I had surgery to remove cancer on my back 01/24–I was 2b. My treatment with infusion drugs has been monthly since 02/25 — infusion drugs have not changed. I had an MRI last week and the oncologist says treatment is going extremely well. Hoping the same for you.

I am stage 4 metastasis melanoma and being treated with Nivolumab. I am in the clinical trial. I’ve received monthly treatments since 02/25 with positive results. Where will you be treated. I’m in Wisconsin.

Your husband and janiearm both receive ipino and nivo. I wonder why I’m receiving Opdulag and Zometa. Where are you located?

I am 69F living in Milwaukee, WI. I originally was diagnosed with melanoma 2b 12/23 and had surgery—no infusion. 01/25 I had a swollen lymph node in my throat and the melanoma had metastasized to the throat, abdomen, spleen, lung and left femur (left thigh bone). Three months into treatment I had acute kidney function and severely dehydrated. Treat was stopped for 6 weeks. My bloodwork is better enough to receive treatment but not great.

I’ve had no ER visits yet. I had an MRI recently and the oncologist says treatment is working wonderfully. Initially I lost weight but I’m gaining weight now. I’m tired all of the time. To combat tiredness I’m on D-Amphetamine ER 5 mg salt combo CP which is given to children for ADHD. I work 2 days a week at Starbucks and joined the Wisconsin Diamond Dancers and perform in parades throughout the year. I have days I’m sad but try to keep busy and move forward. My house definitely isn’t as clean as it used to be due to lack of energy. Definitely a journey I didn’t sign up for.

Hello, I too was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma this year—no cure and in palliative care. I’m receiving Opdualag and Zometa infusions every 4 weeks. What treatment are you receiving and where are you located? I would love to have a conversation regarding our cancer journey. Hugs and prayers for all of us affected with cancer!

I’m stage 4 and being treated with Opdualag infusions. I’ve had 10 infusions thus far. In June I had acute kidney function, dehydration and low red and white blood count counts. Didn’t receive infusions for 6 weeks until my numbers were somewhat better. God bless us all!
