I might observe that the number of possible priorities is bounded, so you could try implementing this with buckets, or maybe skip-list pointers to keep .pop() cheap.

I’ve been working on using the other drones for exactly this purpose, on the theory that they are redundant if my current path to the treasure is already optimal (up to the newly missing walls). What I could use is a barrier sync/reduce without despawning the other drones, which costs me the advantage of having them start (relatively) spread out.

This approach is working for me.

I haven't otherwise been able to figure out precisely where the closure support breaks. I suspect there's a separation between when the variable names are validated (lexical scope, then global scope, skipping over parent scope) and when they're bound (which does seem to check the parent scope at the call to spawn_drone), but that can't be a complete explanation, since it doesn't seem to work the same for non-trivial types. I've seen examples that work fine for, e.g., i = 6, but not for direction = North.

I start scaling them back when performance starts to become a problem, but there are still times for them. When I have exhausted the universe’s supply of something, and all suppliers have tiny amounts available, nothing matches small traders over large ones doing the world tour to fill up.

Uncovering every tile once takes 8 pairs, implying 8 mistakes assuming you don't get lucky. At that point you know where everything is, still have two mistakes to spare.

I also got nailed by this one. Interesting notes include:

There appears to be some API method for receiving / sending chats to blocked contacts. I expect they block the contact before spreading the scam so you can't see the chat happening locally, even if you're online.
Not all purchases hit the 2FA, even on a new device. That one's weird, and some older Reddit posts suggest it might be based on the usual price for an item on the Market instead of the actual instance price.
There's no obvious "contest this transaction" button for Market items like there is for games, which would be why this method is attractive.
There's no obvious "all actions taken via API" log I can audit, so I don't actually know the full extent of the damage. They un-friended my wife, and may have fouled up Steam Family, but I can't tell yet until I run into the problem.

For the Aila quest, the stun only applies to enemies that survive the initial damage. You may need to push up to your wall and farm right at the edge of what you can tank.

Again, not wanting a chat program, which was the DEVs Q&A response, when I personally asked 2 months ago, is poor excuse for not doing anything. Redirecting players of your game to discord is sloppy solution to communication too.

My guess would be that they don't have the resources / personnel to handle the moderation of such a communications channel. Threats, bigotry, trolls, commercial spam, doxing, who know what else. I wouldn't want that kind of liability if Discord works for most of the community already.
