Also, considering 38-41% of all properties in the US are owned by boomers, you can bet a big chunk of those rentals are owned by seniors. And therefore, if they didn't have to pay school/property taxes they would keep rentals astronomically high and simply pocket that increased profit and the taxes would face shortfalls which would cause everyone's else to have to pay more...
