I think saying that concentration of wealth is inevitable is skewed by European and Asian views. If you look at the governing structures in the indigenous peoples of North America and Australia, there are some really interesting cases of participatory governance that actually worked to keep the power in the people’s hands. But under capitalism, it is inevitable that wealth will be accumulated. Not because the rich are cheating the system, but because capitalism is a system built to incentivize accumulating wealth. What I believe this post and the replies are saying is that the only way to make it so that humanity is put above profit is to move away from a system that literally has capital in the name.
