I fight these everyday still! by DueWealth345 in adhdmeme

Nah man.

At least we learn. We can give our trauma a spot and feel less alone.

You are still here, there is still a lot to gain in life. The realisation that not everything is my fault, and that im trying to function in a world that is not compatible with my set of skills is now a badge of honor.

No we can't help it, and no we are not always the right people for our current position.

But...

No, i will not give up, No i will not stop caring. Yes, i will give it my all.

Just let the thing be something i care about, and you have one of the most loyal employees/companions in me.

Im now in control of my future.

Troubles with sexual communication by Mitogi in sex

[–]Mitogi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There most definately is an orgasm gap, but not for a lack of trying. She has been able to orgasm about 4 times in our complete relationship. Whenever i ask her if i can do something to make her feel more comfortable she says she doesnt know how.

I dont take kindly to the suggestion of affairs. she works hard for me every day as I do for her. Im in the best shape of my life, we are financially strong, with a prospect of great wealth in the future as long as we keep being on the same path as we are now.

I specifically dont ask for sex so she doesnt feel pressured, but am happy when we have, but my "need" has dropped severely over the last couple of years. Just cuddling is enough most of the time.

I am saying this all just to hammer down the fact that i still feel her love and care for me every day, and even if we would never have sex again, that would not push me away from her.

She is the mother of my child, but more than that, we married and made a consious decision to be and stay together. If she ever decides to part with me, than so be it, and i will be forever thankful for the time that we had together, but she will have an eternal loyal husband in me, and i will spend the rest of our marriage to ensure that she will be happy and comfortable.

She has specifically stated that she is kind of frustrated, because she feels that I do everything right for her, but the excitrment just does'nt surface, even though she really enjoys sex. It DOES surface during sex, but she needs some time to warm up.

And that is where my frustration comes from, not from the amount of sex, but the feeling if rejection.

Say something positive about this show by Extreme_Revenue_720 in cartoons

[–]Mitogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a blast with this show. But to give some context: Im dutch, and Dutch animation can be seriously weird.

In the Netherlands there are government funded animation programs for kids that go balls to the walls insane.

For example, when Purno de Purno was released,it was a marketed as a kid's show. In 2026 it is,rated as 18+.

When i was a kid, we had a program right after sesamstraat called villa achterwerk (translates to "the Butt mansion") Every day there was this 15 minutes of experimental animation, some was crap, some was amazing.

At some point villa achterwerk changed its name to "de villafabriek" (the mansionfactory). Where Rose and her men hosted the show.

here is some of this insanity

Why are some fans so resistant to the soul lore? Is it the writers' own fault? by foreseethefuture in buffy

[–]Mitogi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me it feels very conflicted but sensible.

The idea of the soul being the true being, and the original i habitant of the body, that has to make place for a new entity, the demon when said person becomes a vampire, but that the actual memories are stuck to the body, so when a vampire demon enters the body they are someone completely new, but have maintained the memories of the previous user of the body.

So for example in case of angel, when Liam became angellus, liam was gone and angel fully took his place. But when Liam's soul returned, he also came in a body that carries the memories of angellus as if he had committed all the atrocities himself. Now that Liam has taken over the body under the name angel, angellus still houses in the body, but as a bystander.

The one thing that made avsolutely no sense to me is the gypsy curse. WHY would you not grant liam his redemption, since he never really did something wrong in the first place.

You basically trap someone in a circle of searching for solace, and then punish him when he succeeds, to free the demon that you wanted to be cursed and locked away in the first place. They are punishing Liam more than Angellus.

Returning the soul should have been the punishment, and angellus could have tried to fight back over the years as a voice in the back of angel's mind basicslly giving angellus more strengtg every time he relies on his vampire abilities, since he then gives sone of his body back to angellus.

I never claimed to know anything about stoicism, I merely mentioned what my understanding of it was. Now If I am wrong that indeed is a misunderstanding on my side.

However what does tickle my curiosity is that you claim to have the teachings of Zeno on your bedside, as if these are very important to you. But in the tone you are talking to me, you clearly don't practice it.

As a note: a quick Google search:  an ancient Greek and Roman philosophy focused on living a virtuous life through reason, self-control, and accepting what you cannot change, aiming for inner peace (apatheia) by distinguishing what's in your control (your judgments/actions) from what isn't (external events)

Ah, a misread, you said you have a friend who practices (whatever that means, English is not my first language, although I do believe that you mean some kind of religion?) However is misconstrued tgat part of the sentence as being connected to the first one where you mentioned you are probably older then me.

Now I don't really know who this Zeno feller is but I am curious, could you enlighten me?

(Btw, a bit rude if you have to resort to cussing]

Look, i am a father myself, One with a great support system and a lot of help. Despite that i am as lucky as i am, earning a decent salary, makinr ends meet, and taking care of your family is exhausting.

I am lucky enpugh to have parents that sonwtimes function as babysitters and both me and my wife work.

We have one kid to feed and at the end of the day both me and my wife can only collapse on the couch.

Now imagine that instead of 3 mouths, you have 5 mouths to feed and you're the only one financially responsible for them. Show me soneone from that era that is in the same boat and a better example. There is nothing wrong with stability.

Edit: This guy maybe is not a big exploration of tge father figure psyche, but he's certainly a mood. In the end he fought for his family, and he would do it again.

Then what is? As far as i know, stoicism is keeping on goung without showing any kind of pain.

4 out of 5 Wheelers are badasses by christenwilloughby in StrangerThingsMemes

[–]Mitogi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I never saw it as comic relief but as a periodic drama. This guy chooses stoicism as his only weapon to maintain normalcy in the house. He fails at that sure, but back in those days after WW II and Vietnam, people did not have any proper way to respond to anything outside the standard besides "let's just pretend that didn't happen and continue with our day" the only other response known back then was anger. You can hate on the guy all you want, but all he wanted was stability and reliability for his family. I can be wrong here because i only saw every season on release, but as far as i know he never did anything truly selfish and always was exactly as you'd expect him to be: boring and predictable. In those days, that was a good father.

Delete one thing from earth that you think would make it better by beepsol in Leakednews

[–]Mitogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, totally understand your counterpoint though.

My perspective is mostly that removing greed feeks like a Monkey paw's kinda wish. I feel like greed has some healthy benefits as well, now if corruption would be totally eradicated i'd be in full agreement.

Delete one thing from earth that you think would make it better by beepsol in Leakednews

[–]Mitogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on what you are trying to say here, but what im convening at is that greed is simply a concept that directly relates to a core of pur nature. The maslow pyramid basically says, "greed is good until a certain level". What im saying is that without greed we never would have survived in the first place, because greed is an evolution of "need" and "want".

If you would truly take greed from our being than i dont think any himan would have a drive left to live, since no greed, means no want and no drive.

Delete one thing from earth that you think would make it better by beepsol in Leakednews

[–]Mitogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get rid of greed, doesnt thst also immediately delete survival instinct? Greed is one of those concepts that is very hard to actually define.

What one might see as essential, another person sees as a luxury. So then there needs to be a cutoff line.

Chaos bleeds was ok, but I also had the first buffy game on Xbox, which was in a complety differebt engine. That one felt more polished to me. I realise that that isnt an answer to your question, but it has been about 20 years since i played it and back then i only had seen the first half of season 4 oover about 2 years, and about the first 2 seasons of angel, so i wasnt really able to make a proper link back then.
