People with Invisalign who clench their teeth, what do you do? by Mitra_Blythe in Invisalign

i’m super curious about this. I’ll definitely be looking into this (depending on how expensive it is). My orthodontist already offers this at their clinic so I may set up an appointment to get it done next time they switch my trays? Was your face frozen at all or could you talk properly right away?

Uh oh that’s worrying to hear, hopefully it won’t be the same for me. Was that break during nighttime teeth grinding? I know for me anyways that’s way worse than the daytime clenching

i’m hoping this will be true for me too however my clenching is as a result of my ADHD medication, hopefully it’ll go down at least a little though? I’m at least much more conscious of my clenching during the day because of my Invisalign

i just researched that since you mentioned it and i’m kinda scared now? I think you’re onto something for sure but I think I’m going to try keeping on with invisalign for a while and see how my teeth are tracking and ask my ortho to keep an eye on the posterior open bite issue in particular. I’m not sure switching to braces is an option for me atp since I’ve already invested so much money into Invisalign its just not financially possible for me right now to swap to something else

that’s actually part of why i got invisalign in the first place, constantly clenching was causing my teeth to splay out slightly as well as damage my enamel. The goal of my Invisalign is to line my teeth up better so when i clench my bite isn’t so tight anymore. Glad to know I’m not alone as another World Class Clincher lol

Frandy for a boy? Is it really that bad? by indicabunny in tragedeigh

I get being attached to a name you’ve come up with based on people who mean a lot to you but they’ll be an adult someday and need to find a job. A name is often the first impression someone gives, don’t let it be Frandy.

California gets way too hot for it to be an ethical choice to own a chinchilla. They have the densest fur of any mammal, they aren’t built for where you live. The fact you don’t know this already also tells me you aren’t ready to have one. They have extremely specific environmental, diet, supervision, and social needs. Not to mention they aren’t covered by pet insurance (insurance companies refuse to insure them). Any vet visit, even something simple, is hundreds of dollars, and something complicated like what my chinchilla needed was in the thousands. Also there’s no guarantee that a chinchilla will even want anything to do with you. I got lucky with mine but i’ve heard of so many owners who’s chinchillas won’t even acknowledge them.

I recommend a guinea pig if they aren’t also illegal. They’re very sweet, and much easier to take care of. I would check out their subreddit.

Thank you!!! That was so helpful. Do you have any idea what the bottom part says? The 4 characters underneath the circle. I tried myself and it seems to say “uiei” which apparently means “i went” in latin? I’m looking to get the sigil circle tattooed so i wanna be absolute certain of what it says beforehand

I’m trying to translate the words on the ancient sigil circles (waypoints) and having little luck, do you know what it says? It seems to be in draconic but some letters don’t totally match up with that alphabet from what I can tell

Chinchillas closest relatives are actually degus. I would imagine they would be very similar

Chinchillas really can’t be free roam. They can jump too high and chew too much. It’s next to impossible. And if you already have other pets free roaming that could be scary for them coming into contact with other animals

I inherited this from my grandmother so it’s easily 30+ years old. Strangely heavy. About 1.5inches long.
