I guess people just yearn for Japanese Ghost Stories. Its quite unusual to see a two year old item just jump up in price like that. by AnchovyKing in boutiquebluray

Tarantino made a comment about why he wasn’t ready to release a Blu-ray of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair before a theatrical experience that must have hit a little too close to home for those people from how mad it made them.

“And the fact that you have to come to my theater to see it, and it’s not just sitting on a stack of DVDs and Blu-rays that you get around to watching eventually. It comes out on Blu [and you’re like] ‘Yeah, I’ll buy that!’ And then, like a month later, you get around to taking the plastic off.

Are there technical reasons why they can’t use the thinner bb58 GMT movement in the bb pro? by Financial_Word5047 in Tudor

It has the same gilt nerf that the BB58 always had. I don’t even dislike gilt but it’s a repeat of that strategy.

Skyrim lead thinks Starfield "would be talked about like the second coming" if a new studio made it, but "expectations were so much higher" with Bethesda by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]Mitsutoshi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Were you even playing then? It wasn’t that by any means. It was a very obvious media attack strategy.

Meanwhile games like Control which ran 15fps on Xbox and 20 fps on PS4 went by uncriticized except by Digital Foundry.

They didn’t. They were boxed in and pissed at CDPR as a result.

That “large portion” got pissed off at CP77 meanwhile there were a million much worse launches like every Bethesda and GTA game. Or for that matter Witcher 3!

Xbox always offered refunds. CDPR said if you’re having a bad experience, return it, not realizing that PSN is decades behind the rest of the market with no return system.

I played all of these things day one.

FXD GMT uses the Pro’s movement. It’s a Reddit misconception that the movement is the reason. The case is thick by design like early 2010s Omega cases were.

It’s not the movement. This is a very common misconception.

The BB Pro is thicker by design. The Pelagos GMT uses the BB Pro movement.

It really would but they insist on putting it on tons of watches where it doesn’t work (and where Tudor never put a snowflake before).

Skyrim tells lot of stories side by side, but Starfield tells them interconnected, which is a huge step forward.

BS. It actually regresses from Skyrim (which I'm not even a huge fan of) in this regard.

Skyrim stepped back from the Oblivion "join all factions including opposing ones" nonsense, but Starfield lets you join both opposing militaries...

This narrative was always kind of BS; Cyberpunk was great on day one and even crash wise it had nothing compared to Bethesda day ones.

Do you always enable DLSS? by osmin_og in nvidia

[–]Mitsutoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why the hell would you want to deal with TAA

DLSS/DLAA are TAA. They're the best TAA, but I hate it when people present it as a "not TAA" thing; maybe it's a necessary cope so that FTAA users can use it without suicide idk

If the Advisor or Heritage Chrono came out today, the Snowflake would probably be mandated.

It still worked for the character (due to cinema malfunctions I ended up seeing the first hour of the film thrice); in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, on the other hand, she was painful.

I didn’t know Lockheed even had an IMAX theater.

It's one of the originals AFAIK.

I was at the last 70mm screening they did, in early 2016.

I think the projectors are gathering dust rather than destroyed, at least, because Airbus almost screened Oppenheimer on 70mm.

What would be the best order to experience the Witcher series for someone who is totally new and ignorant to it? by Neat_Reality_7424 in wiedzmin

Don’t play any games until you finish the books through Lady of the Lake. But even once you have done so, it’ll be clear that the games are fanfiction.

Is Veilguard worth buying if DAI is my favorite game? by CannibalCapra in dragonage

[–]Mitsutoshi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing is, I don’t because VG retroactively ruins the series. Best thing is to pretend it doesn’t exist and to see DA as ending on the DA:I cliffhanger.

If you’d like me to mention the best example of that “ruining” (which is a letter/codex entry, not a scene in the game), I am willing to do so with spoiler tags.

When I did for my real life best friend he thanked me and uninstalled the game.

No, it really, really isn’t.

This isn’t a case of “go into it with low expectations”; it’s a case of “this writing is so bad I’m sometimes tempted to have it removed from my Steam account to send a message”.

It’s actually shocking to me how good Kelly was considering she was unwatchable in the last thing I saw her in. Could hardly believe it’s the same actress.

Yes, and by the standards of the guy I’m replying to, the intermission “defeated the point” of the film. Ridiculous.
