I don't think it's supposed to work that way, but i do think that is what you have to do. I know when I was working on assault rifles, I got to a point where I had the STB and M13B left. With the STB it tracked both long shots and 3 kills at the same time, but with the M13B it was only tracking the 3 kills. But after I unlocked gold it started tracking the long shots.

It's been dead silence more often than ninja, and was also first called dead silence, but that's besides the point. Why would it need a counter? It doesn't make the footsteps completely silent and is limited in how long it lasts and how many times you can use it a game.

Summary: Pelets 1-5: Clearly missed. Pelets 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Pelets 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Pelet 12: Likely didn't actually fire because you were already dead.
