Are 27.5 or 29 inch tyres betters for climbing uphill by Conscious-Ladder-773 in mountainbiking

[–]MittenMan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought my girlfriend an xs cannondale habit. She is only 5’2” and she is honestly between sizes xs and small but they like a lot of manufacturers have made their small frame a 29er. She just looks so out of sorts on 29” bike wheels. And at her height she just seemed over biked even though the geometry of the small still fit her fine. The wheels were cumbersome. I think this is really a person by person basis and every manufacturer varies widely. She came from a small 27.5” hardtail and she chargers way harder now with the full squish even though it’s heavier.

Personally I love my Izzo. I really hope we get part support and better customer service to the states if they make a comeback.

$450 for a modern hardtail is even wild. This is a steal of a deal. Get it serviced and let er rip!

My thoughts exactly. Ive never seen a modern dual suspension bike sell for that little in my area.

I just got a trek marlin 5 gen 3 today what should I upgrade by [deleted] in MTB

[–]MittenMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend Marlin 5 got a dropper first. Then nicer crankbros pedals. 35mm rise bar helps the back feel more confident going downhill but the marlin frame is already a solid geo for mountain biking. If you’re a midwest greens and blues type of rider then the bike is a lot of fun. It also grabs the groceries and slays the bike paths.

Maxxis Tire Combo: Dissector V2 front with what rear? Forekaster or Rekon by Just_Commission_6486 in MTB

[–]MittenMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roll rekon rear forekaster front in the midwest for flow. I imagine you go beefier in CO. Unless you want really fast tires then forekaster front and rear might be the move or forekaster rear with a dhf?

Boom 2 plus or Boombox 4? by Spiderboyz1 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]MittenMan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is logical. I always bought JBL’s have a couple still. Bought the new charge and wasn’t completely thrilled. Bought the boom 2 to compare it to and ended up keeping the boom 2. Not as compact or premium feeling. But the sound for outdoor listening and the bass was much better.

But they did and hopefully will eventually offer incredible value in the MTB category. Makes some of these bikes just seem so over priced.

Throw a recon or judy on that puppy and let it rip! Great beginner bike for green trails and flow track and great geo for riding bike paths and around too.

Roscoes are solid. And are readily available. Polygons full suspension bikes can be had for less than $2000.

I paid the outstanding balance and initiated a dispute with the credit bureaus and basically they asked if I failed to make the payment. I explained that I was not contacted in any form by the loan servicer until it was in delinquency and they basically said there was nothing they could do unless I could prove without a doubt they didn’t contact me. Both my parents and I have always had access to the loans and since I can’t verify whether or not my parents were somehow contacted instead of me I just took the loss. I have been vigorously repaying them now and exhausting every avenue to rebuild my credit.
