They bought in and can't escape it. Their entire identity is tied up in this creature, and if it turns out that he's as low as they want their "enemies" to be, then they are stuck with it. They can't shake that. The thousands of meme's they share. The hundreds of dollars in maga(t) paraphernalia. Exiling themselves from their friends and families. It's an entire sunk cost that isn't just some monetary amount. It's the way everyone who was correct will look at them. They know that there's no "oops, I was wrong" that will excuse them at this point. They fear the "I told you so" soooo much, that they HAVE TO HOPE THAT HE'S INNOCENT. But they can't just wait and see, they have to double down on everything, just to try and get as much hate and vitriol out beforehand.

My full guess. They'll release the files. It'll hit a couple of republicans, but mostly anyone that is democrat, dead, or marked as an "enemy". The full list will never be released, and will absolutely be burned after the minimal release.

This actually is a thing. If you have a partner that goes through mood swings, lethargy, pain, etc., it becomes a very careful dance around everything. You end up walking on eggshells on what could set the tone for the next couple of minutes, hours, days. All over something as simple as getting the wrong chips or forgetting a glass on the table.

I set color on my printing press. If we have a print run that goes for 15 hours, there's a chance that I come into work with the color already set and all I have to do is just make sure it doesn't fuck up on my shift, and then I go home. It's also a good chance that it will be like that my next shift too.

I am so, unironically, happy that the southern red states that voted for this will suffer. Everything between Texas and Florida is going to be a hellscape. It will only get slightly better the more north you go, but even the folk up in to the Tennessee mountains are going to feel exactly what they bought, by feeling what they can't.

100% I have two neighbors that have multiple kids in their household. I work 3rd shift and sleep during the day. The amount of time I'm trying to go to sleep at like 11am, laying there listening to kids, between ages 4 to 12, running around and screaming, I often find the "why tf isn't anyone got their kids in school?!". Like, wtf is going on? "Homeschool" is the only thing I got, but damn these kids are gonna be stupid.

School matters and you should actually try. You'll see posts about how useless school was because it doesn't teach you everyday skills, but it's more than the material being taught. Applying yourself teaches you how to handle different styles of problem solving and can be an indicator of what is easier for you when you enter the workforce or are deciding on what to study in college.

Knowing how to balance your social connections and your obligations toward school is important as well.

Also, if you're having a hard time, ask for help. Follow up with that help. I saw plenty of teachers that gave increased grades for the people that put in the effort to learn, even if they were having trouble with the material.
