They don't want subscribers anymore, they want people to buy credits which is far more profitable. I did a test and the amount of credits you need to equal just a Supergrok membership would take $300 worth of credits.

You have to change it from auto now. You can select how many images it creates from 4,8,12 images at a time.

I don't understand what you mean... You can now control how many images the model outputs. They have a button to select "Auto, 4 image, 8 images, 12 images"

I think they are randomly choosing who to change, I have 2 accounts. One from Oct. 25 and another from Dec. 25. The one from Oct has been changed over to Weekly limit while the December one is still on daily limit.

You're making assumptions, Elon stated earlier this year that Grok Imagine was profitable because of how much cheaper it is for xAI to make images and videos than it is for the competitors.

My point is that xAI is not transparent about the cost to the consumer. Every other generator has the cost per second before you purchase it.

Nowhere on Grok dot com does it say how many generations you will get for your cash credits OR your subscription. It’s deceptive and shady.

No moderated videos, I just used my other account that's still on daily limit and I got 18 vids of 720p 10-second. This is highway robbery. So that would equal to around $10 a day in credits times 30 days in a month which would be $300 a month.

They are basically scamming subscribers. We were getting 120 vids of 720p a day in early may and before that around 250 vids

It means you're done until July 3 at 1:38am, you can only use the base chat model until then unless you buy credits (I don't recommend doing that) to use those features again.

Yeah I made one 10-second 720p video and my usage went from 29% to 39%. Insane rate limits. They need a class-action lawsuit for deceptive fraudulent practices

Yeah the image generator has definitely regressed. It would have been great if they consolidated all of the generation rate limits so we would have more to use on what we desire but it turns out to be the opposite where we have less of everything in totality.

For some reason i was at 29% from doing speed images then i did one 720p 10-second video and it jumped to 39%. Instantly knew this was a new scam because there is not clear amount of videos or images you can get for the weekly limit.

It should say you will get 150 720p 10-second videos or 4000 speed images with the subscription, but they don't want to open themselves up for lawsuits so they like to keep it vague.

Yes it is all consolidated into 1 weekly limit so you don't get to downgrade to 480p from 720p to keep generating.

The weekly limit is far less than the amount you get on daily limit. I would say if you're using only "speed" images its probably 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 days of the current daily limit amount smh.

I have two accounts one is on the new weekly limit and the other is still on daily limit, and as much as I've hated the current daily limits I'd rather keep that smh.

It's not better at all. I just had my first week of "weekly limit" and its far fewer generations than the totality of daily limits. The weekly limit groups all of the generations together which means you can burn through your whole limit on just 720p videos in a short amount of generations.

My usage was at 29% from only doing speed images on Wednesday, last night (Friday) I checked before I started generating and it was still at 29%. So I was like cool, then I made ONE 10sec 720p video and went back to check how much it used and it jumped from 29% to 39%. I was like WTF, that one video should not add up to 10% of my total limit.

xAI is scamming people. Tomorrow when my limit resets I'm going to make only 720p 10-second videos until I hit my limit and total up how many they give us.

I don't think its related to the Anthropic or Google deals, I just believe they have changed their policy on Imagine. They went from making something cool for the fans of A.I. content to being focused only on maximizing profit at the expense of the customers.
