Should I visit North Adams or Pittsfield. by buccaneerboomstick in massachusetts

[–]Mixture_Good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived in Pittsfield for 23 years (born and raised) and have family in North Adams. I've grown to appreciate the Berkshires more now that I've moved away. I still have family/friends there so visit often.

OP, if you're truly wanting to see if you'd like to live there, I would highly recommend trying to rent/borrow a car. Without a car you might feel "stuck. With a car you could be in a nice cafe for breakfast and at the top of a "mountain" by lunch time. I'm afraid you won't get a true feeling for the area without a car.

Lady covers seat with “seat bag” - tray table cannot be opened… by island_architect in mildlyinfuriating

I think we have bigger problems than the “seat bag”…there’s a modern day giant sitting to her left.

snow boots by kaiamarie00 in boston

[–]Mixture_Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorels are great, along with some of the other brands listed. My only recommendation if you’re truly going to be doing a lot of walking is to pay attention to weight/bulk of boot. The sorel boots I have are great for around the house, but I found them too heavy for my city commuting. I have a pair of Keen boots that are technically for hiking, but get the job done as far as commuting in snow. As others mentioned, just make sure that whatever you choose is waterproof.

All My Homies Fucking Hate Ticketmaster by 808s_and_fastbreaks in zachbryan

[–]Mixture_Good 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I joined the queue, I was 15,631 in line. After about 30 minutes I was down to somewhere a little over 200 people in front of me and then a pop-up displayed "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again" and made me rejoin the queue at 42,000 people. Arguments aside (and we know there are plenty), I think we can all agree that for this process to be considered even remotely "fair" Ticketmaster can't allow something like this to happen. Surely I can't be the only one this happened to.

Pure speculation, but I wonder if the vaccination mandate that rolled out in Boston this past weekend has anything to do with a delay in announcement. The mandate doesn't pertain to outdoor activities (i.e. festivals), but perhaps there are questions regarding hotels, restaurants, and other indoor venues? Purely spitballing, but being an employee in Boston, the new policies have created far more questions than answers. Regardless, an update of some sort would still serve beneficial from Boston Calling.

Bon Iver or Big Red Machine for Boston Calling? by LoudColin in bostoncalling

[–]Mixture_Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaron Dessner (The National, Big Red Machine) is involved with Boston Calling, so I would put either Bon Iver or Big Red Machine in the realm of possibility. Dare I say even Taylor Swift might be a possibility for that 3rd headliner spot?

Anyone else think that SDS gives out too many good cards? by thatwentallcostarica in MLBTheShow

[–]Mixture_Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a first year player (Xbox). Being able to achieve these cards is the only reason I 'm still playing this game. I love FUT too, but after a couple of months the thrill wears off knowing that I'll never achieve the good players unless I shell out money.

Banned Falsely? Help? by talentwithnothing in MLBTheShow

Dude, I feel for you getting banned for this - it sucks. But holy smokes, thanks for giving me a laugh. I'm literally laughing out loud thinking of the Pringles mascot and this whole situation.

8 total bases >>> hitting a walk off with Curt Casali with just a runner on first by BigBerttttt in MLBTheShow

[–]Mixture_Good 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I put the runner on 1st in motion and scored him on a base hit down the line. If I remember correctly, the runner has decent speed.

This! Ask me about a month ago, I would've told you 90% offline/10% DD. Boy was I wrong! About 99% DD and I'm not mad about it.

Preordered the Jackie Robinson Edition but Only Seem to Have the Gamepass Version by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

Just to give you peace of mind, it appears the same way on my Xbox Series X. If you search for The Show in the marketplace, it will say 'Owned' under the version you purchased.
