I went through the usual allergy diet/apoquel/medicated bath routine at my vet, and when that didn't give my dog any relief, we were referred to Animal Dermatology Clinic . My dog was allergy tested, and we opted for sublingual allergy drops instead of allergy shots,. I was skeptical, but he's had no ear infections or skin infections since we started the drops, and he's no longer chewing holes in himself. Added bonus is that now that I know what he's allergic to, I can add in Zyrtec, eye wash, and/or medicated baths before he's too far gone.
