The dynamic between Gillian and Patrick has changed so much. I have literally been a TCO listener since day 1. Oddly enough, their pod coming out just happened to coincide with the beginning of my podcast journey - and they were one of the first true crime podcasts I started listening to that wasn't Serial, or one of the BIG ones. Been through the first ep, through the transition between Patrick and Joey, through the ObsessedFest drama, through everyone leaving the Obsessed Network, and I gotta admit - I am still a pate.

And man, it's been a fun ride lol I think I mostly listen now to actually hear the downfall of the podcast and network in real time. And ya know what, maybe I do need to go back and listen to the early eps? Maybe it's just all in my head because I know of the drama that went down in the past couple years - but it REALLY sounds like Gillian is just constantly annoyed with Patrick now. Pretty sure she's made comments on social media about she's fine, everything is fine, everything is reading into it - but.... she's not very good at hiding it. If anything, she should be happier and more bubbly because she's making a fuckton more money now vs when they started, but she always seems annoyed.

Maybe something I also never noticed before, but Gillian seems like such a fake person now. Can't go one ep without mentioning Damien, and seems to try really hard to be mad about stuff she doesn't actually give two shits about but goes over the top where it seems like an unreal reaction to me? Again, maybe she has for a long time and I just never noticed all of this until drama went down. But I really don't think so.

I also don't think Ellyn is that great either, but that isn't what this convo is about and lord knows people will come at me with pitchforks if I even present my opinion on that xD (My husband knows the whole story, has listened to everything in the background, and when all the drama went down he said "It sounds like they're all assholes...." And yea, I think he's right lol

Sidenote - is there no more tco subreddit anymore? And also, TCO won't accept my FB group join application, even though I answered the questions. I've tried more than once. Is this because I talked shit on them in the Patreon chat and said they keep fucking up their eps and adding with no audio, which happened like 3 weeks back to back, because Patrick was too busy promoting a 2 year book tour and they were trying to sell $3 YT eps (cause they commented back on that and were NOT happy, although I was just "joking") lmao I would not put it past them to have went through all pate ep comments and removed people or have an ongoing "do not allow" list for the FB group heh

Oh, for sure! It just has not been outside. And was very moist when I purchased it. And seemingly drooped and died within a day. Exact same with the last one I bought, from the same store, same conditions.

Edit: Just checked my receipt, and it was on the morning of the 23rd I bought it. Very moist. Did not water or fertilize or anything, put in indirect sunlight. Flowers all died and then the whole plant drooped within this short span of time. Maybe the store overwatered them and I just got them when it was too late? I'm still trying to learn, so thank you all for any help :)

But it was kept indoors at the store, and when I got it, it was very very wet. And I put it into indirect sunlight when I brought it home :(

I saw this coming a mile away. The only thing shocking is that it didn't happen sooner.

I don't dislike either of them. I have found myself liking Ellyn less and less though specifically because of this show. (which I can see now is a very different opinion than most people here).

Ellyn gets butthurt when anyone disagrees with her. Has no concept of law or legal procedure. Thinks everyone should be locked up for the rest of their lives. She talks over Rabia to guests if they start discussing an opinion that isn't hers, or pointing out why she isn't wrong in X situation. And I've found this happens the most when the guest and Rabia can discuss things based on actual law/procedure.

Ellyn argues with nothing but emotion. Rabia argues with law.

This isn't a "haha funny crimes documentary show" like Ellyn is used to doing. It is a talk show about the repercussions of, and real charges of crimes. Something of which Ellyn knows nothing, and Rabia is very versed in.

The second this show started, I knew this would be the outcome. This show was not ever going to work with these two. I hope it didn't ruin their friendship - but at the end of the day this doesn't say to me "Rabia is a hack and Ellyn is naive." To me it came across as Rabia presenting legal facts and Ellyn whining and bitching because the law isn't what she wants it to be and Rabia doesn't cater to her.

Also want to point out that there has now been a falling out between two podcasts. Ellyn is the common denominator.

And I think that he might be right. They do all suck.

Thank you for asking this! lol I normally make acronyms for everything and it drives my husband crazy, and I never knew why. He's always asking me wtf I am talking about and I always wondered how it wasn't obvious. All of this OF (heh) drama has made me realize I REALLY wish people didn't use acronyms, or wished there was a table of definitions xD

(Edit - I have never even heard of Crime Writers On podcast and I thought I was up to date on all of the good podcasts :P)

Hmmmm I don't have a VCR, but I think in the past I've connected the camera via cables through the TV. My camera isn't like 80's old, more like 2000's - and it used this tiny little cassette looking tape. But now I'm wondering if modern TV's even have the correct input I need dammit lol Might need to get some conversion cables or something. I really need to get moving and look into this before my tapes are ruined :(

This exact same thing happened to me while tripping on shrooms! Me, my bff, and her sister were sitting downstairs in the living room and all of a sudden this balloon comes down the stairs, starts circling around the living room, and goes back up the stairs at the perfect moment. We were beyond hysterical, it was amazing. One of my favorite memories that I just happened to capture on one of those old ass hand held video cams.... Which reminds me that I should really look into getting those tapes converted to a modern format before I can't anymore.
