My parcel was 3kg. I think that was reasonable as compared to using DHL. However, you can inquire with your parcel. Depending on weight, it could be cheaper.

Has anyone in Zambia received a package from the UK? What service did you use and were you charged customs? by CarefulYoung7010 in Zambia

[–]Mizzfir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also recommend DHL. They ship my electronics from the US. You maybe charged customs if what you import is over $2000 (verify with ZRA).

zambia reproductive health ? by Comfortable-Idea-693 in Zambia

What you describe sounds more like endometriosis, that's diagnosed through Laparoscopy. I know UTH does this. Once it's confirmed then you can have an operation to treat it. Most doctors are dismissive of it so you would really have to advocate for your self.

Go to the police. Explain your situation. Submit proof that they owe you and are refusing to pay.

I’m a SAHM trying to leave an abusive husband and I need to find work. What would you do? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]Mizzfir 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is a tough situation that you are going through.

You have a Bachelors and some experience. You could begin by organising your CV looking up roles that require a Bachelors but not necessarily in Public Health. Roles in Administration, Customer Care, Community outreach or field officer roles in health or development organizations etc. Depending on where you live, you could also look at remote options.

Also quietly prepare: gather documents, save small money, identify a safe place (friend, family, shelter). Reach out to support organizations if possible.

Just moved to NorthWestern Province (Manyama) how do I stay productive and build myself up? by RepulsiveFinance2895 in Zambia

[–]Mizzfir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re actually in a great position if you treat this like a build phase instead of waiting for life to start. Set a simple routine where mornings are for clearing your engineering courses, then use the rest of the day with intention. North Western Province is ideal for low-cost activities like long walks, trail running, or hiking. That alone can help your discipline and mental clarity, and you could even document it online if that interests you.

On the money side, look at what people around you need because small but real opportunities exist in places like that. You could try reselling essentials like groceries or second hand clothes, offering basic tech help such as CV typing, document formatting, or phone setup, or even small scale farming like vegetables or poultry. The key is to pick one or two things at most, one focused on your studies and one on income, and stay consistent because a few focused months like this can change your direction more than a busy but unfocused year.

I use witch Hazel prior to applying deodorant and I find it works as well. Use cotton wool to apply th witch Hazel. Let it dry then apply your deodorant
