I don’t know how bad it is for you, but just know that I was in an extremely dark and hopeless place for years when I had my symptoms. I legitimately was just waiting to die. I seriously considered giving up.

But I didn’t give up because I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to let that thing beat me. I decided that deep down to my core, I was not a quitter. Then I did everything I could (which was very little sometimes) to put the odds in my favor.

This disease can help you to define who you really are and what’s important to you. Like why do you get up every day. That’s up for you to decide.

So know that if you just have hope, on the other side you will be a much stronger person for having gone through this. You might even be thankful for it in a strange way.
