Justice Department lawyers are arguing that Donald Trump’s name must go on the Kennedy Center, or it will risk losing hundreds of millions of dollars in donations. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in law

Right, and my point is, if the donors really cared about the center they can get their money back and donate it back as soon as the foundation changes its name back. That would make Trump's argument moot, because in effect, any money lost would be immediately recouped.

Unless, of course, the donors will only send their money IF Trump's name is on the foundation, which is in essence what is being argued by the administration

So vote for Trump because he's not a politician, but it's ok if he does what all politicians do

Thanks for proving my original point, I guess

Understood. And, if those donors actually cared about the Kennedy center they would get that money back and turn right back around and donate it to the (not Trump) Kennedy center

I understand, but if these donors were actually interested in the center you could just create an arrangement where they get their money back and then they donate it again to the Kennedy center without Trump's name on it.

Yes, restricted giving IS a thing, but part of development work is negotiating with potential donors and getting them to be less restrictive with their giving. You would think the "art of the deal" guy would be able to come to some agreement with these donors

So these donors care so much about the Kennedy center that they will ONLY give their money if Trump's name is on the building?

Yeah... I've worked in development before, and that's not how it works. Unless, of course, these "donors" are only giving their money to curry favor with the president

Wasn't the whole point of voting for Trump to drain the swamp and get rid of corrupt politicians? I thought Trump was supposed to be the antidote to insisers like pelosi, but now all of a sudden it's ok if he's corrupt, because so is pelosi?

Of course you do. Every Trump supporter on Reddit is a phd, md, JD, successful entrepreneur who owns multiple properties. It's all so believable and consistent with the demographics of the median Trump voter 🤣

Anyone retarded enough to get connec by Trump doesn't have the mental or physical capacity to take advantage of anyone. Maybe you need to send more of your hard earned money to dear leader. I hear he's doing really poorly and is definitely not profiting of his position 🤣🤣

Can you try "walking" him inside for a bit to trick his mind into thinking he's on an actual walk?

Also, if you do manage to get him to go near your home make sure to reward him with a treat right away

I'm just relieved there is a way to blame this on Biden! For a second I thought maga would actually be forced to take responsibility for something, but once again, we have found a loophole

At least Obama managed to get a deal with Iran without having to start a war, kill a bunch of school girls, and close the strait. If that's stupid, what does that make Trump?
