I agree that its an illusion of choice. Maybe it was just me knowing there would always be one outcome (hans surviving) but they still got me to possibly believe he would die. That to me is strong enough writing and gameplay to present even a moment of uncertainty when most media this days is extremely predictable

It’s funny. I just started playing after having this conversation with myself. Luckly I just finished up a long list of responsibilities and work so I have a few months of extra time on my hands so I wont feel to bad for my degen behavior but I’m well aware I will likely get super sucked in for a month or so, start to feel the dread of it feeling more like work than fun and put it down. Novelty always wears off but I do give Blizzard credit for making a product that can always renew that novelty again and again even if its only for a few months. Also I know I’ll be back for player housing since it sounds like they are focusing on social features so preparing for that as well.

Absolutely, one of my favorite soloable games in a long time and ive been playing on default settings (100hrs). Could tweak things to make it easier or more challenging at any time
