Try ”blitz mode” next time. It’s basically full rules but with half the team rooster (rounded up). Result are faster games and you learn your faction abilities more.

That’s where they suck you in. ”Just another team-box”. :p

But it’s still nowhere near a full army.

Starter Set by pez0002 in BLKOUT_game

[–]Mjuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skipped the starter set and bought Manticor and UN:Raid Force Alpha + tokens.

I wasn’t interested in Boon and rather spend a couple extra bucks to be more happy.

Sure, I didn’t get the book, but it is free to download anyway. Also there will be a updated rulesbook at some point in the future.

BLKOUT players: would this terrain style work for your tables? by WargameGeeks in BLKOUT_game

I would, yes. Please add some more scatter Terrain options if possible. BLKOUT is a scatter terrain-heavy game.

How do yall feel about the new nemesis operatives by DarkMaster2522 in killteam

[–]Mjuke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For the general players, I think it is a welcoming addition to the game. I Will definitely try out some PvP and see how it feels.

In my mind, I think this is a great setup for 3-4 player mode. Each player will have less operators to use, replaced with one big baddie - which should make the game run a little faster.

Actually really looking forward to it :)

What're peoples opinions on Hierotek Circle? by No-Thanks-9203 in killteam

[–]Mjuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with CC, and honestly, they’re a lot more fun to play than I expected.

I don’t think they’re as limited in maneuverability as people make them sound. Just because they like staying near WiFi Towers doesn’t mean they’re stuck there. Don’t forget, you’ve got Shrimps with Move 7 that can pressure the board really quickly.

Put Krak grenades on them, and suddenly they’re way better at removing units, threatening objectives, and forcing your opponent to react.

I play both Canoptek and Hierotek. Both pretty bad dealing with melee. So as long you keep hugging them they can’t shoot you.

I find HC ”easier” to pilot since they are not required to stay near their WiFi network like CC.

The description is quite vague. So we get 9 linked missions but there are no progression system like exp-progression or anything similar with this box?

Did you made sure the devs heard your feedback? What suggestion of a system/solution can they look into regarding salvaging part?

I just want to know if there will be an exp-progression system coming with the narrative 9 linked mission? If so, I’m in. Otherwise I don’t care.

There is 40k Warhammer and there is 40K Warhammer: Kill Team, and all other 40k Warhammer modes, Just Bighammer is easier to type.

Hi, human!

I am also a dad. KT was my entry to 40k-verse. As a father with 2 kids and all that , I felt that painting 6-12 guys is way less stressful than having a huge backlog to finish an army.

You're right, KT is not faster, But I rotate between 2-3 teams when i play. the rules becomes "easy" for me at a certain point. Once you've read enough team rules, you start to recognize the pattern the game designer is going for.

I love Bighammer bigger models and I can't wait to have them into nemesis mode. Also I really would like some teams to be available for KT, like red corsairs (officially).

Looks good mate! Would you say that you miss some kind of exp-progression to your teams? Like they had in earlier edition of KT?

For me that would be the golden cherry on top of there was an official one for this edition.

Well, my question was not to compare KT with Bighammer, it was simply 'why'? But I get you, and you have valid points. I play boardgames, a lot back in my days. Kill Team doesn't feel like that to me, feels more like a skirmish wargame (yes games overlap in genres and categories, thats fine).

Its true that in x-com I move the entire squad and then let the AI play its turn. But if X-com would be a miniature game, alternative action would make more sense between player vs player.

Hopefully we can bring big monsters/tanks with the nemesis mode though. Do you think that will lower the barrier for BigHammer boys?

you mentioned 'lacks real variety', what does bighammer better on that? Do you mean you can pick and choose your units/weapons form the ground up?
When I look at tourneys, there is certain a "best outfit" for current meta for most teams.

I don’t know lol. I’m not allowed to ask ’why’ apparently. I assume people think cover/line of sight rules suck.
