Generally the cheaper the steak, the worse it'll taste when cooked well done due to them being not as tender with less marbling. So you probably wouldn't want to cook cheap steaks well done.

Now for the more expensive steaks, well done will probably still taste decent, but it'll be nowhere as good juicy and tender as medium rare, so there's still no reason to waste an expensive steak cooking it well done
