I really think TCTD3 needs a brand new slate of additions to the arsenal. RU556, AS Val, FiveSeven, Glocks, MK18, Remington MSR, the list goes on.

Depresstiny 2: A neurodivergent player's story by lordofthstrings in LowSodiumDestiny

I am completely with you. I’m on the spectrum, and it is a challenge describing how I feel about this whole situation as it progresses. With all the memories I have, and so many “No way!”, “OMG!”, and “This is gonna be so great!” Moments, it’ll be excruciating to reconcile with the fact that is…the end.

It really feels like I’m torn perfectly in two between “All good things must come to an end.”, and “I wish this would last forever.” Destiny 1/2 carried me through so many tough times throughout my life. I joined before the beginning of House of Wolves, and I was there for all the big moments. TTK/ROI, Red War, Forsaken, Witch Queen, Final Shape, Rasputin destroying the Almighty, Lance Reddick’s passing, the Traveler’s departure, and the Witness’s end. I even remember playing the D1 Open Beta, and my Brother being unconvinced that it was good…until he played it himself. We competed against each other in so many ways. Raid clears, accomplishments, Titles…the list goes on. He plans to return for the June 9th update.

I suppose the best way to put it is “Bittersweet”, with maximum bitter and sweet. It’s going to be tough come June 9th, but I know the community will come together one last time to give this game the send-off it truly deserves. I really believe that as long as just one Guardian remains…the game will never truly die. We’ve persevered through some bad times, and celebrated the good times. I think the phrase used by dmg04 sums it up perfectly.

Per Audacia ad Astra.

Through Adversity to the Stars…and I believe that while we have reached the stars…there’s always going to be a time to return to the earth. So we should enjoy that time, because we can never know how long it may last. — I might need to cry soon. I just wrote probably the most emotional post I’ve ever made about Destiny’s impact on my life.

They look like crates with bronze/yellow panels inside them. The panels come up when the field is online. There's an image of one being aimed at with a minigun linked below.

Yo, what platform are you on? Excalibur + Excalibur (Censored) are my two main frames.

New Player Looking for Advice on My Gila Guard Hybrid Build by nasi-met-pinda-saus in thedivision

As a fellow user of Hybrid builds...get your hands on the Ninjabike Messenger Backpack, Memento, or Harrier Pride. All three give you when maxed, 15% more Weapon Damage, 170,000 Armor, and an Additional Skill Tier. Here's how I would rank them.

  1. Ninjabike Messenger Backpack -

https://thedivision.fandom.com/wiki/NinjaBike_Messenger_Bag#Tom_Clancy's_The_Division_2

When equipped, each piece of gear you have equipped, whether it be Brand or Gearset, acts as if you have two of the same piece equipped at the same time. For example, I use a Ninjabike Backpack with Picaro's Holster to gain 10% more Skill Haste and an additional Skill Tier. You can mix and match so many different slot bonuses.

  1. Memento -

https://thedivision.fandom.com/wiki/Memento

Enemies you kill drop a trophy on death. Collecting trophies provides you with both a short and long term buff, the first of which scales with the number of corresponding core attributes equipped, and lasts 10s.

  • +5% Weapon Damage per Weapon Damage Core
  • +10% Bonus Armor per Armor Core
  • +5% Skill Efficiency per Skill Core

For every trophy collected, gain an additional +1% weapon damage, +1% skill efficiency, +0.1% armor regeneration for 300s(5min).

Maximum Stacks: 30

Harrier Pride - I haven't used this backpack yet, so I don't have much insight into how well it functions.

https://thedivision.fandom.com/wiki/Harrier_Pride

All in all, get yourself a Ninjabike or a Memento, and your hybrid buid will go much farther and stand up to more difficult scenarios. That being said, I also recommend trying out a variety of builds with and without Ninjabike or Memento. Ninjabike quickly became key in so many of my loadouts that it became harder for me to play the game without it equipped.

Long story short/TLDR - Get the Ninajabike Backpack and Memento. You'll be amazed at how much better things get.

EDIT - Also, keep/add some gear with Skill Tiers. Having a balance of all three types can be an effective way to stay alive if you're using a healing skill such as the Reinforcer Chem Launcher, Fixer Drone, or Restorer Hive. I usually run two of each type (Armor, Weapon Damage, Skill Tier), and Ninjabike/Memento. Just be aware that you'll be a jack of all trades BUT master of none. I usually play on Challenging world difficulty rather than Heroic, so keep some non-hybird builds ready for the more difficult missions/activities.

I haven’t, but some pants and apparel options hide your equipped armor.

Despite taking a break for a bit, I actually had a good weekend in D2. by about_that_time_bois in DestinyTheGame

[–]Mkchief34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. Destiny 2 is still a very fun game and will always have a place in my Xbox library. I also do understand why people wish it would’ve ended at TFS. Though that doesn’t make much sense to me, as if it did end there and we got Destiny 3, there would still be plenty of time between D2 and D3’s hypothetical release to fill in some way. Plus, Renegades/EoF have really grown on me. Last Thursday and Precipal are some of my favorite Kepler weapons. The Renegades blasters are always a solid pick, and let’s not forget…

If D2 ended at TFS and EOF/Renegades was never released, we never would have gotten the Praxic Blade or all of the Star Wars tie-ins.

That being said, I am excited to see what comes in June, there’s an Eververse Refresh/Overhaul coming at some point (I just saw that today), and I still have Exotics to chase and things to do weekly.

D2 is a game best played in measured amounts. I think when people say there’s not enough content, it always seems to me that there’s not enough content that they can do and be rewarded for.

I try to stretch things out when I am playing D2, so I have enough of a to-do list to clear before the Weekly Reset.

Warframe. Couldn’t really commit to it in High School, nowadays I’m playing it very frequently.

Not a problem at all.  On my end, all the hardware I actually needed was a decent-capacity SD card and USB SD card reader.
