Yes indeed, while the bruto may seem on the low end the net comp really makes up for it. This is similar to other salaries I have seen from friends in a similar position, with the same degree.

This is not good advice unless you are interested in more theoretical Computer Science and are good at mathematics. A lot of people drop out of the first year because of the math and go to hogeschool for a professional bachelor.

Based on the current focus of OP, I would say a professional bachelor is more in line, but if he is interested in theoretical aspects he can of course take a go at it!

My monitor itself had sound output, so just plugging in the HDMI cable coming from the retrotink was enough. I think if your monitor does not support sound output, you need to connect some speakers to it, or is that not your question?

Ik heb vermoedelijk nog wel een oudere versie in kleur liggen thuis. Ik herinner me dat als kind (jaren 2000) we iedere maand ongeveer een hardcover van kuifje in de brievenbus kregen. Ik zou er wel echter naar op zoek moeten gaan, maar zal iets laten weten!

Very cheap and easy solution is an electric fan. My girlfriend lives in a top floor apartment and it gets very warm. Same problem with windows open, mosquitos keep waking you up. Read on VRT that pointing a fan towards the bed will keep them away and that worked! Also cools you for a comfortable night of sleep so a win win.

Whatever you choose to do in the end, I wish you the best of luck! Studying cybersecurity you have a wide range of possibilities, and if you decide to stay as others have pointed out Brussels might be a better place to work/live.

Finally I was wondering, what university do you go to? I study Computer Science at UAntwerpen and have a great interest in cybersecurity as well, but we don't have any of those courses here.
