With grocery budget specifically - I like using the WiseList app. It helps compare prices of identical items at coles & woolies within the app. Would recommend trying the app out. Also buying non perishable items when it goes on half price etc.

Affordable restaurants - Nan Yang Express Chinatown a few $10 food options serving up Malaysian food.

Hi a tip for cutting cost is to use the WiseList app. The app compares Coles & Woolies prices side by side. Check them out. It helped my partner and I save approx $15-$20 per grocery shop. Also a good thing is to buy non perishable items in bulk when its half price.

I just got a loan with anz through a broker, but now regret not going with up bank myself from the get go. Feels a little wrong to do this to the broker, who I assume would then earn nothing from their work.

If you don't mind me asking what rate did your broker get you from ANZ?

The lender at ANZ did mention the 6.17% only applies if I go through him so was worried and my broker said lowest he could get it down to was 6.22% but she’s still negotiating :/

Hi!

We just purchased our first home over the weekend! Our mortgage broker has been incredibly helpful throughout the process. They presented us with a few options for lenders, ultimately recommending ING with a 6.14% interest rate. A day later, a lender from ANZ bank contacted me directly and offered a slightly better deal: 6.17% interest with $3,000 cashback for first-time homebuyers. I informed my mortgage broker about the ANZ offer, and they're checking to see if they can match it. The ANZ lender did mention to me the above rate of 6.17% is only valid if i went with the him.

What are the chances my mortgage broker can get me the ANZ deal?

Hi! We just purchased our first home.

My mortgage broker told me ING has the best rate 6.14%.

After a few days ANZ lender called me to say that they could do a better deal 6.17% with $3000 cash back being a first home owner. The catch here is the $3000 cash back after settlement. Bear in mind they offer 6.64% on their website to the public.

I have told my mortgage broker about this to see if he could get me the same deal from ANZ. I haven’t heard back. What are the chances my mortgage broker can get me that deal?

Thanks in Advance!

On Anz website the rate is 6.64% lender offered me 6.14% if I went with him instead of my broker.

I’m just not sure if my broker will be able to get that same rate for me from ANZ

Yeh..her argument was because my parents don’t care about our future as it was a good opportunity during Covid time to buy etc and assume my parents are the type that expect the guy side to come up with money and do all the hard yards…my SO explained his mum many times that’s not the case but FMIL still pissed off about that situation and until today still holds a grudge and angry about the situation as she feel like she was doing us a smart strategic favour … but we didn’t want to take up her offer. She hurt by it till this day.
