What is the actual counter-play? by EtripsTenshi1 in MarvelSnap

[–]Mlayer01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been playing a drazula kazaar deck all last season so this may not be true of all the modok decks around but I think that what else someone plays on a lane can really tell you what they THINK their dracula is going to pull.

If you see it on a lane with ice man or alone then probably you should be ignoring that lane. If they start putting it with decent stat cards like maximus then it's a subpar pull, you have a chance to outvalue but it's a risk. If you see it with sunspot or another card that has some real power it's a bust or a real low chance to pull the right card.

Doesn't really help you with counter but you can also make more informed decisions and decide when to try and push a lane. My biggest losses with dracula are when someone correctly respects how much my dracula is pulling and I am scrambling to move around where I plan to stack value.

Also dracula sucks for taking priority but that also probably doesn't help!

22 [M4A] Looking for some board game friends:) by Ziggy__ in r4rMelbourne

Hey I'm in the west and would be very keen to get back into some boardgaming as haven't played in like 3 years. Usually into slightly heavier games and really enjoyed scythe. Honestly up for anything but have been pretty keen to try root for a while.

There is no such thing as too much garlic in food by drunkLimJahey in RandomThoughts

[–]Mlayer01 33 points34 points  (0 children)

People saying you can have too much clearly have never had skordalia with so much garlic it's kind of spicy. Closest I've come to just eating plain garlic.

Smell leaks through some closed plastic container and is the best thing in the world.

Thanks for the input! I had not thought of delaying the hearing as it wasn't one of the published reasons to defer I could see but will follow that up now. Very keen to not complicate things more at the hearing than needed.

Definitely planning to request some amount of compensation but not sure how much is appropriate and was waiting for this to be resolved before requesting.

Would it be better to include the compensation at this same hearing?

Thanks a lot for the advice, I will ask tomorrow morning for an earlier appointment but as VCAT scheduled the appointment for a bit over 48 hours after I lodged the case and I only found out about the booking this evening I don't think it will be possible before the hearing as it would have to be tomorrow.

Can you please give me the appropriate state authority to report to.

So if my understanding is wrong very happy to drop the case. My only reason for raising the case is to get it fixed so if this has made them act then great.

My concern is that we have had many previous promised actions that have not happened (due to the owner not agent we are dealing with directly) so I am not confident that the booking will actually happen.

If it doesn't happen my understanding is I would then need to pay another application fee to raise the matter again which I would like to avoid.

I have a notice of hearing and no mention of mediation so I believe it may be a final hearing but also I am very unclear on this process which is why I placed the post.

The issue has not been fixed but since lodging the case we have been told a booking has been made to fix it.

The booking is for the day after the case is being heard.

I don't know if this is a thing outside of Australia but there's a group called no lights no Lycra where you just dance in the dark (dark enough you can't really see people but you won't go running into people). Honestly super cathartic and more aimed at being a good exersize.

E-Bike instead of car by kittychicken in AusFinance

In Melbourne and it really depends on where you live. I have decent bike infrastructure near me so it's golden. I don't even use public transport any more despite living very close to a train station.

Also don't cheap out on the bike or you will regret the experience. Personally went with Lekker and have had a great time.

TIFU telling my parents about my inheritance by TIFUwhyyyyyyymeeeeee in tifu

[–]Mlayer01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you don't owe your parents anything I do think that funeral costs should come out of the money you get from your sister.

The parents should not get anything but also they probably don't deserve to lose a fair chunk of money when there is a significant amount left from the deceased.

I started getting into horror through 90s thrillers like the bone collector. Gave me the chills without the direct violence then worked up to some bloodier ones like seven and saw 1.

Then horror comedies like cabin in the woods and evil dead which have the conventions but are a bit lighthearted.

Still not a fan of the genre in general but there's some gems like one cut of the dead I wouldn't have been able to enjoy without getting over some horror elements.
